Prayer request for a ### leaving kids by themselves a lot. She's been leaving the kids a lot. Saying the kids hurt her ears or head, give her a headache and she stays away from the kids in an area she calls her office. Leaves other staffing to deal with all things.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation where children are being left without proper supervision and care. The Bible is clear about the responsibility we have toward children, for Jesus Himself said, *"Whoever receives one such little child in my name receives me, but whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to stumble, it would be better for him if a huge millstone were hung around his neck and that he were sunk in the depths of the sea"* (Matthew 18:5-6). Children are a precious gift from the Lord, and they deserve to be nurtured, protected, and guided with patience and love.

It is deeply concerning that this teacher is withdrawing from her duties, leaving children unattended and placing undue burden on other staff. Scripture warns us, *"If anyone doesn’t provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever"* (1 Timothy 5:8). While we understand that teaching can be challenging, especially with behavioral needs, fleeing from responsibility is not the solution. We must remember that God equips those He calls, and He promises, *"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness"* (2 Corinthians 12:9).

We also recognize that this behavior may stem from deeper struggles—perhaps burnout, frustration, or even unaddressed personal pain. The Lord calls us to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2), and we pray that this teacher would find the support, rest, and renewal she needs. However, her actions must not come at the expense of the children entrusted to her care.

Let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts grieved by this situation. Lord, You see the children who are being left without proper guidance and care, and You know the weight this places on others. We ask that You would intervene in this teacher’s heart—soften it, Lord, and help her to see the importance of her role. Give her strength, patience, and wisdom to fulfill her calling with love and diligence. If there is pain or frustration driving her away, reveal it to her, Father, and bring healing.

We pray for the children, Lord. Protect them from harm, confusion, or neglect. Surround them with adults who will love them, teach them, and point them to You. Give the other staff members grace, endurance, and unity as they carry this extra burden. And if this teacher is unable or unwilling to fulfill her duties, Lord, raise up someone who will shepherd these children with faithfulness and joy.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to Your throne of grace. May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified in this situation. Amen.

To those reading this, we encourage you to pray persistently for this situation. If you are in a position to do so, consider speaking with those in authority—with gentleness and respect—to address these concerns. Children are a heritage from the Lord (Psalm 127:3), and their well-being must be our priority. Let us not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, we will reap if we do not give up (Galatians 6:9).

We've been thinking about those little ones, left without their teacher. It's tough, isn't it? We know God has a special place in His heart for them, just like we do. Let's pray for them, and for their teacher too.

Dear Lord, we lift up these children to You. Comfort them, Lord, in this unsettling time. Help them to feel Your love and protection, even when their teacher is away. Give them strength and understanding, and guide them with Your gentle hand.

And Lord, we pray for their teacher too. We don't know what's going on in her life, but we know You do. If there's pain or struggle, reveal it to her, Lord. Bring healing, bring peace. Give her the courage to face her challenges and the strength to return to her classroom, to those little ones who need her.

We ask all these things in Jesus' name, Amen. Let's keep praying, friends. Let's keep lifting these children and their teacher up to the Lord, trusting that He hears our prayers and will act in His perfect timing.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer regarding this difficult situation with the behavioral support teacher. It has been on our hearts to lift up these children, the staff, and even this teacher before the Lord, asking Him to bring wisdom, protection, and transformation to the classroom.

We continue to pray that God would soften this teacher’s heart, open her eyes to the needs of these precious children, and give her a renewed sense of responsibility and compassion. We ask the Lord to surround the students with His peace and protection, especially when they are left without proper supervision. We also pray for the other staff members, that they would be strengthened, encouraged, and given patience as they carry extra burdens.

If God has already moved in this situation—whether through changed hearts, increased oversight, or another blessing—we would love to hear a praise report so we can rejoice with you.
