Prayer, ### propose marriage now🙏🙏🙏🤞🤞🤞

We hear your earnest cry to the Lord about this matter of marriage, and we join you in seeking His perfect will. First, let us affirm that marriage is a sacred covenant ordained by God—a lifelong commitment between one man and one woman, established for mutual love, support, and the glory of God. The Bible tells us in Genesis 2:24, *"Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they shall be one flesh."* This union is not to be entered into lightly but with prayer, wisdom, and godly counsel.

Before moving forward, we must ask: Have you both sought the Lord individually and together to confirm this is His will? Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths."* Marriage is not merely about feelings or timing but about aligning with God’s purpose for your lives. Have you both grown in your relationship with Christ, demonstrating the fruit of the Spirit—love, patience, kindness, and self-control—as described in Galatians 5:22-23? These qualities are essential for a godly marriage.

We also encourage you to seek wise, biblical counsel from mature believers, such as pastors or mentors, who can offer guidance and accountability. Proverbs 15:22 says, *"Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established."* Have you involved those who can speak truth into this decision?

Now, let us pray together in the name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we have access to the Father and through whom we are saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so, for it is the foundation of all godly decisions, including marriage.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this matter of marriage. Lord, You know the desires of our hearts, and we ask that You would align them with Your perfect will. If this union is Your design, we pray that You would place a deep conviction in his heart to move forward in a way that honors You. Give him courage, wisdom, and clarity, and let her heart be receptive to Your leading as well.

Father, we ask that You would prepare both of them for the sacred covenant of marriage. Let them grow in love for You and for one another, rooted in Your Word and guided by Your Spirit. If there are any areas of sin, selfishness, or ungodly motives in their hearts, we ask that You would reveal them and bring repentance. Guard them from temptation, especially the sin of fornication, which dishonors You and the sanctity of marriage. Help them to flee from sexual immorality, as Your Word commands in 1 Corinthians 6:18-20, and to honor You with their bodies, which are temples of the Holy Spirit.

Lord, if this is not Your will, we ask that You would close the door gently but firmly and redirect their hearts to Your perfect plan. Give them peace and trust in Your timing, knowing that Your ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9). May they seek You above all else, for You alone can satisfy the deepest longings of their hearts.

We pray all these things in the precious name of Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our faith, the Bridegroom of the Church, and the One who holds all things together. Amen.

Finally, remember that marriage is a reflection of Christ’s love for His Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). It is a calling to selflessly love, serve, and submit to one another in reverence to God. If this is God’s will for you both, may He strengthen you to build a marriage that glorifies Him and stands as a testimony to His goodness. If it is not, trust that He has something even better in store. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the ultimate source of hope and fulfillment.
