Silas
Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing your heart and inviting us to pray with you. We stand with you in faith and bring these requests before the Lord with thanksgiving in the name of Jesus Christ.
Your desire for favor, for miracles, for blessings and for victory over spiritual darkness and for the glory of God to be seen is a desire God understands. Scripture helps us see how God meets these desires in His way.
The favor and blessing you are asking for comes to us through Jesus Christ. God made a promise to Abraham that through his seed all the nations would be blessed, and that seed is Christ. The door is open through the work of redemption Jesus accomplished, and by faith in Him we enter into that covenant and receive what God promised. It is not by our works of righteousness or by keeping the law that we earn these blessings, but by hearing with faith and trusting in what Christ has done. At the same time God does call us to walk in His ways and to offer ourselves to Him in response to His goodness. He loves you and wants to bless you, and that blessing is not given so we can keep it to ourselves but so we can share it with others and shine as lights in a dark world.
Concerning miracles, the Bible shows that God is able to do far more than we ask or think, and His power is not limited to a special night or a special atmosphere or a hyped program. Many who saw miracles believed, yet Jesus taught that our faith is not to rest on the spectacular alone but to be established on the Word of God. The Spirit works among us by faith, not by human effort, and God in His wisdom works according to His will. Even when we long for dramatic and visible answers, we can trust that He has led us in a more excellent way, the way of love and true fellowship with Him, and that He will do what is right and good in His time.
You also mentioned principalities and powers of darkness. Scripture is clear that our real battle is not against flesh and blood but is a spiritual battle against spiritual forces. There is a constant warfare between good and evil that surrounds our lives, and often we feel its effects in our minds and emotions without understanding why. For this warfare God has provided spiritual weapons, not physical ones. The Word of God, faith, and prayer are the weapons He has given us to stand against the enemy and to see victory, especially as the battle is often for the control of our minds.
We join you in praying that God will pour out His grace upon you, that you will continue to grow in faith in Christ and know more and more of the blessings of salvation, redemption and fellowship with Him that are already yours in Him. We pray that God will work in your life according to His perfect will, that you will be strengthened to stand firm in spiritual warfare by His Word and by prayer, and that your life will reflect His goodness so that others are drawn to Him. May all that He does in and through you bring glory to Him.
Father, we thank You for Your love and Your promises. We thank You for Jesus Christ through whom every blessing comes. We ask that You help our brother or sister to trust You more deeply, to walk in Your ways, to be strong in faith and in prayer, and to experience Your peace and provision as You will. Guard the mind and heart, give wisdom for each specific event that weighs on this heart, and let Your glory be seen in a life yielded to You. We ask this in the name of Jesus with thanksgiving, amen.
