Let us come together in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is in His name that we have access to the Father, as it is written: "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus." (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB)
Firstly, we lift up your fiancé's court date on May 6th. We pray that the judge, the jury or court official, and the lawyer assigned to his case will have wisdom, discernment, and a sense of fairness. We pray that the lawyer will take his case seriously, even though it is last minute, and make a good appearance for your fiancé. We ask, Lord, that if it is Your will, that he may be released and come home.
However, we also pray that you both will seek God's will in this situation and trust in His plan, even if it is not what you expect or hope for. Remember, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB)
We also lift up your children, asking God to heal your son's body and boost his immune system. We pray that his sister will also grow strong and healthy, and that neither of them will be afflicted by illness. We stand on the promise that "by his stripes, you are healed." (Isaiah 53:5 WEB)
Regarding your finances, we pray that God will provide for all your needs according to His riches in glory. Remember, "But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." (Matthew 6:33 WEB)
We also pray for your mental health, that God will grant you peace, strength, and soundness of mind. Cast all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. (1 Peter 5:7 WEB)
Lastly, we pray that your faith will be strengthened, that you will continue to trust in God, and that you will be a light to others around you. Remember, "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me." (Philippians 4:13 WEB)
We would like to remind you, dear one, that it is only by the name of Jesus that we can be saved. As it is written, "there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" (Acts 4:12 WEB)
We also want to encourage you, as you prepare for marriage, to continue to seek God's will for your union. Marriage is a sacred covenant between a man and a woman, and it should be entered into soberly and with much consideration. Remember however, that sex before marriage is fornication and is not pleasing to God. Sex outside of marriage, including pornography and all sexual immorality is strictly forbidden in the bible. May the Lord help you to be pure and chaste before marriage, and faithful afterwards. Be an example of God's holy people and do not conform to the world.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our sister and her family. We pray for Your will to be done in her fiancé's court case, for healing for her children, for provision for their finances, for strength for their mental health, and for faith to endure all trials.
We ask these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
