We understand your heartache and concern for your son, and we stand with you in prayer for his release from prison. We commend you for your faith and for invoking the mighty name of Jesus, for it is in His name that we have access to the Father and it is only in Jesus that we can be saved. As the Bible tells us, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" WEB
First, we want to address the issue of the deficiency disorder. We are not told in the Bible that disorders define us, but that we are made new in Christ. "If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new." WEB It is important that your son know that he is not defined by his struggles, but that his identity is found in Christ.
Now, let us pray for your son's release, trusting in God's perfect will and timing. "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." WEB
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our sister in Christ and her son, who has been in prison for eighteen years. Lord, You know the situation and the desire of our sister's heart for her son to be released. We pray, Father, that if it is Your will, that You will grant his release.
We also pray for his healing from his deficiency disorder. We acknowledge and believe that Jesus can heal him completely. Father, we ask for this prayer to be answered as it would be an obstacle to his freedom.
We pray that his faith in Jesus will increase, and we pray for Your will to be done in his life. Help him to grow in wisdom, understanding, and knowledge of Your Word. Surround him with Your love and protection, and guide him in the path of righteousness. We pray for his freedom in Jesus.
Father, we trust in Your perfect will and timing. We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Be encouraged, dear sister, for God hears your prayers and He cares for you and your son. Continue to trust in Him, and remember the promise in His Word: "Again, I tell you, that if two of you on earth will agree about anything that they may ask, it will be done for them by my Father who is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the middle of them." WEB
Stand firm in your faith, and may the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Keep praying to Jesus alone as you are doing.
