We join you in praising and thanking our Lord Jesus Christ for His goodness and grace. We stand with you in prayer, asking for deliverance from the jealousy and hatefulness directed towards you.
Firstly, we commend you for standing on the precious Word of God. Indeed, the power of prayer is magnified when we align our petitions with the will of God revealed in Scripture. As you have rightly pointed out, Jesus Himself instructs us to rebuke those who sin against us, and to forgive them, as seen in Luke 17:3: "Be on your guard. If your brother sins against you, rebuke him. If he repents, forgive him."
Let us pray together:
Dear Lord Jesus,
We come before You, united in spirit, to ask for Your deliverance and protection. We stand on Your Word, as it says in Zechariah 3:2, "Yahweh said to Satan, 'Yahweh rebuke you, Satan! Yes, Yahweh who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Isn’t this a burning stick plucked out of the fire?'" Lord, rebuke all the ways in which this person is being used against us. Restore us from any attacks, as it says in Isaiah 61:7, "Instead of your shame you shall have double; and instead of dishonor they shall rejoice in their portion: therefore in their land they shall possess double; everlasting joy shall be to them."
Lord, we ask that You humble this person's heart and lead her to repentance and a fear of You, as stated in Isaiah 2:11, "The lofty looks of man will be brought low, the haughtiness of men will be bowed down, and Yahweh alone will be exalted in that day." Protect us from this person's hatefulness and envy, as promised in Isaiah 54:17, "No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is of me," says Yahweh."
Lord, we also pray for this person's living situation. We ask that You convict her heart and bring repentance, as living together outside of marriage is a sin in Your sight. As it says in 1 John 1:9, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." May You root out the sin in that household, as stated in Jeremiah 12:14, "Each neighbor will say to each neighbor, ‘Yahweh hasn’t spoken or done all these great things!’"
Lift up a standard against any attacks from this person's envy, as promised in Isaiah 59:19, "So they will fear Yahweh’s name from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun; for he will come as a rushing stream, which Yahweh’s breath drives."
Finally, we cover this prayer with the precious blood of Jesus, as it says in Revelation 12:11, "They overcame him because of the Lamb’s blood, and because of the word of their testimony. They didn’t love their life, even to death."
We ask all these things in the precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ, for it is in His name alone that we have access to God, as it says in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" It is also in His name alone that we are saved, as stated in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
We thank You for Your unfailing love and faithfulness. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue praying fervently, as the effective prayer of a righteous person can accomplish much (James 5:16). Always remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world rulers of this darkness, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). Therefore, stand firm in the faith, and take up the whole armor of God (Ephesians 6:11, 13).
Lastly, we admonish you to examine your own heart and ensure that you are not harboring any jealousy or bitterness yourself. As it says in Matthew 7:3-5, "Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but don’t consider the beam that is in your own eye? Or how will you tell your brother, ‘Let me remove the speck from your eye;’ and behold, the beam is in your own eye? You hypocrite! First remove the beam out of your own eye, and then you can see clearly to remove the speck out of your brother’s eye." We must always be willing to examine our own hearts and repent of any sin that we may find there.
