We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your son in this time of uncertainty and fear. Father God, we know that You are the ultimate provider and sustainer of all things, and we ask that You would intervene in this situation according to Your perfect will. Your Word tells us in Philippians 4:6-7, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." Lord, we pray that You would grant Your peace to this young man, guarding his heart and mind as he waits for the outcome of this meeting.
We also ask, Father, that You would soften the hearts of his employers. Proverbs 21:1 says, "The king’s heart is in Yahweh’s hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires." We pray that You would turn the hearts of those in authority over him, that they would show mercy and understanding. Lord, we ask that You would protect his CDLs and his livelihood, for we know that You are a God who provides for Your children. In Matthew 6:31-33, You tell us, "Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."
We rebuke the spirit of fear that is trying to take hold of him, for 2 Timothy 1:7 reminds us, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." We pray that he would stand firm in his faith, trusting in You, Lord, to guide and protect him. We also encourage him to seek wisdom and counsel from fellow believers, as Proverbs 11:14 says, "Where there is no counsel, the people fall, but in the multitude of counselors there is safety."
Lord, we ask that You would surround him with Your presence and fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. We pray that he would find his strength in You, knowing that You are his refuge and fortress (Psalm 91:2). We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, for it is in His name that we have access to You, and it is through His sacrifice that we are saved. Amen.
