We join you in lifting up your heart’s desires to our Heavenly Father, who knows your deepest longings and cares for you more than you could ever imagine. It is wonderful that you have invoked the name of Jesus in your prayers, for it is only through Him that we have access to the throne of God. As Scripture declares, *"There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). It is by His name alone that we are saved, and it is in His name that we boldly approach God with our requests.
Your prayer reflects a heart that seeks joy and fulfillment, and we understand your longing for a godly marriage. Marriage is a sacred covenant established by God, a lifelong union between one man and one woman, designed to reflect Christ’s love for His Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). As you wait for the man God has for you, we encourage you to seek the Lord first, trusting in His perfect timing and will. Jesus reminds us, *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well"* (Matthew 6:33, WEB). Your focus on Christ will prepare your heart for the marriage He intends for you, one that honors Him and brings glory to His name.
We also want to gently remind you that while it is natural to desire happiness, our ultimate joy is found in Christ alone. Earthly blessings, including marriage, are gifts from God, but they are not the source of our true contentment. The Psalmist writes, *"Delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart"* (Psalm 37:4, WEB). When our delight is in Him, our desires align with His will, and we find peace in His plan, even as we wait.
If there are areas in your life where you may be seeking fulfillment outside of God’s design—whether in relationships, emotions, or actions—we encourage you to surrender them to the Lord. Fornication, emotional dependencies, or any compromise outside of God’s Word will only bring temporary satisfaction but long-term pain. Instead, pursue holiness and trust that God’s way is perfect. *"Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God"* (Romans 12:2, WEB).
Now, let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we lift up our sister before You, thanking You for her heart that seeks You and desires the blessings You have in store for her. Lord, we ask that You draw her closer to Yourself, filling her with Your peace and joy as she waits on Your perfect timing. Father, if it is Your will, prepare the heart of the godly man You have for her—a man who loves You above all else, who will lead her spiritually, and who will cherish her as Christ loves the Church. Give her patience, wisdom, and discernment as she trusts in You. Remove any anxiety or fear from her heart and replace it with Your perfect love, which casts out all fear (1 John 4:18).
Lord, we also pray that You would align her desires with Yours. If there is anything in her life that does not honor You, convict her by Your Holy Spirit and give her the strength to turn away from it. May she find her ultimate satisfaction in You alone, knowing that You are her portion and her joy (Psalm 16:11). Strengthen her faith as she waits, and let her testimony be one of trust and obedience.
