Prayer: Idolatry

Dear Lord,

Thank You for transforming our lives. Thank You for opening our eyes to the sin that is in us so that we can repent and be reconciled with You. We pray You would show us if there is anything in our lives that has become an idol. We do not want to struggle with idolatry. We desire to live pure lives that are devoted to You. If there is anything we have put on a pedestal or have treated as an idol, please show us so that we can see clearly and repent of our sin. We pray we would keep our eyes out for each other as well. Please help us to share honestly if we see anything that could become an idol so that we can be a sound of warning for one another. You are our Lord and we worship You in Jesus’ name AMEN!

I think coronavirus has become an idol. People {including Christians} are terrifed of it, talk about it constantly {obsession, fascination} and for over a year, People should built a statue to it and worship it, they're practically doing that now.
