We understand your struggle and commend you for your trust in the Lord. It is important to address the issue of soul ties, as they can indeed open doors to demonic influence, especially when they are formed with those involved in witchcraft and the occult. The Bible tells us to be yoked with other believers in Christ, not with those who practice darkness. As it is written, Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? Worse, what communion has light with darkness, 2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB.
Firstly, we commend you for praying for your former girlfriend's salvation. This is the will of God, that all should come to repentance and the knowledge of Jesus Christ. Then Jesus came to them and said, All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age, Matthew 28:18-20 WEB. And, The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance, 2 Peter 3:9 WEB.
However, it is clear that this relationship was not grounded in biblical principles, and it is important to repent of any sin that may have opened the door to this soul tie. If you were intimately involved with her, this is called fornication and should be repented of. But among you there must not be either sexual immorality, or any kind of impurity, or covetousness, for these are sins that should not be practiced among the children of God, Ephesians 5:3 WEB. Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body, 1 Corinthians 6:18 WEB.
Now, let us pray for you and your former girlfriend, who needs to find salvation in Jesus Christ. When she does, she will also need to repent and renounce witchcraft and her involvement in the occult.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother who seeks deliverance from a demonic soul tie formed with his former girlfriend. Lord, we repent of any sin that may have opened the door to this ungodly bond, we ask for Your forgiveness and cleansing. We rebuke the soul ties and demonic influence associated with this relationship in Jesus name. We know that the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses, 2 Corinthians 10:4 WEB. Therefore, we employ the mighty weapons of prayer, praise, and the Word of God to demolish the stronghold this soul tie has created.
Father, we also lift up this man's former girlfriend. We pray that You would reveal Yourself to her and draw her to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. We pray that she would recognize the darkness of her involvement in witchcraft and the occult, and turn to the light and truth of the gospel.
Lord, we ask for Your divine protection over our brother. We pray that You would surround him with a hedge of protection, and that You would guard his heart and mind in Jesus Christ, Philippians 4:7 WEB. We declare that no weapon forged against him shall prosper, and that every tongue that accuses him in judgment he will condemn, Isaiah 54:17 WEB.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we rebuke the devil and command him to flee this situation, for it is written, Therefore submit yourselves to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you, James 4:7 WEB. We ask that You would fill our brother with Your Holy Spirit, that he may be empowered to live a life that is pleasing to You.
Father, we thank You for Your faithfulness and for the power of the blood of Jesus, which has set us free from sin and death. We ask that You would continue to guide and direct our brother in the path of righteousness, for Your name's sake. Amen.
Continue to pray and stand firm in your faith. Remember, God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind, 2 Timothy 1:7 WEB. Trust in the Lord, and do good. Dwell in the land, and enjoy safe pasture, Psalm 37:3 WEB.
