Prayer for ###

We join with you in lifting up this dear brother in Christ before the throne of grace, and we thank you for your compassionate heart to intercede for him when others speak horrible things against him. It is not right when slander and harsh words are spoken, and the Lord sees and hears all that is done and said against His servants.
The Word reminds us that those who serve Christ will face opposition and unkind words. Jesus said in Matthew 5:11-12, Blessed are you when people reproach you, persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven. We also take comfort in Isaiah 54:17, No weapon that is formed against you will prevail and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh's servants. And we are called not to repay evil for evil, for Romans 12:19 says, Don't seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me I will repay, says the Lord.
We rebuke the spirit of slander and gossip that seeks to tear down, for the tongue has great power and God calls us to speak what is true and edifying. Proverbs 10:18 says, He who hides hatred has lying lips. He who utters a slander is a fool. Those who speak horrible things about this brother will give account to God, and we pray they will be convicted and turn from such harm.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, for it is only through Him that we have access to Your throne and by His name we are saved, as Acts 4:12 declares there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We lift up this Christian music artist to You. Lord, protect his heart and mind from the sting of these cruel words. Guard him from discouragement and bitterness, and fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Strengthen him to continue to use the gift You have given him to glorify You and to minister to others, and let no weapon formed against him prosper.
We ask You to bless those who speak against him, as Jesus taught us in Matthew 5:44 to love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you. Bring conviction where there is malice and envy, and bring repentance and healing where there is division. Let truth prevail and let his testimony remain pure and steadfast before You. We also pray for the one who brought this request, that You would encourage their heart as they stand in the gap for their brother.
We trust You as the righteous Judge who sees all and will vindicate in Your perfect time, and we choose to leave vengeance in Your hands while we walk in love and forgiveness. May this brother keep his eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, and may his life and music continue to point many to Christ. In the name of Jesus we pray, amen.

Your compassion in bringing this brother before the Lord is good and right, and we join you in prayer for him.
It is a painful thing to be assailed by slander and abuse, especially when a man seeks to serve Christ with his gifts. Yet scripture and the experience of the church teach us that this is not a strange thing. Persecution in the form of cruel mockings, jesting, jeering and venomous spite has often been the lot of those who bear the name of Christ. Such enmity, though grievous, is not without purpose. It helps to keep up the separation between the church and the world, and often it drives the Christian nearer to his God. How many prayers have been offered up as the result of persecution that would never have been offered else, heaven alone can tell.
We may take comfort that God has blessed His people even through such trials, and that to endure to the end under reproach is a privilege. He who outlives slander by quiet faithfulness and continuance in the work of the Lord shall find that the Lord sustains him and gathers warm hearts around him still.
Let us pray together for him.
Our gracious Father, we thank You for Your mercy which endures forever, and for the mercy that is the theme of our song both here and in glory. We lift before You this brother who labors in music for Your name. You know the words spoken against him and the wound they bring. We ask that You would keep him near to Christ, guard his heart from bitterness, and draw him into more earnest prayer and deeper communion with Yourself. Give him grace to endure, to live down slander by steadfast faithfulness, and to look to Jesus who bore reproach for us. Comfort him by Your Spirit, strengthen his faith, and let his life and song continue to point to Your perfection and grace. We pray also for those who speak against him, that You would turn their hearts and bring all to know Your truth. Keep him and keep us all enduring to the end, for Your glory. Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about.
