We lift this concern to the Lord with heavy hearts, seeking His wisdom, healing, and peace for your mother. Father God, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, the Great Physician, who heals both body and soul. You see the fear in her heart and the weight of past traumas that have kept her from seeking the care she may need. We ask You to break the chains of fear and anxiety that bind her, replacing them with Your perfect love, which casts out all fear (1 John 4:18).
Lord, we pray for discernment for this family. If there is a physical ailment, we ask that You reveal it clearly and guide them to the right medical care. Give them the courage to take the steps necessary to seek help, trusting in Your provision and protection. Remind them that You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We rebuke any spirit of fear that may be gripping her heart, declaring that it has no place in her life, for You have not called us to live in bondage but in freedom (Galatians 5:1).
Father, we also lift up the emotional wounds from her past. The loss of her father was a deep pain, and we ask that You bring healing to those memories. Comfort her with the truth that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Surround her with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, and guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
We pray for wisdom for this child of God as they navigate this situation. Give them patience, kindness, and the right words to speak life and encouragement into their mother’s heart. Help them to be a source of strength and support, pointing her back to You in all things. May they trust in Your promise that if any of them lacks wisdom, they should ask of You, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given to them (James 1:5).
Lord, we declare that Your will be done in this situation. Whether it is a matter of physical health, emotional healing, or simply a need for reassurance, we trust that You are working all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). We ask for Your hand of protection over her, and we pray that she would come to know You more deeply through this trial, drawing nearer to Your heart.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue praying fervently for your mother, trusting that God hears your cries and is at work even when circumstances seem uncertain. Fear is a tool of the enemy, but God has not given us a spirit of fear. Instead, He offers us His peace and the assurance that He is with us always. If her fear of doctors is rooted in past trauma, it may be helpful to gently encourage her to seek not only medical care but also biblical counseling or support from trusted believers who can help her process those wounds in a safe and godly environment.
Remember, the Lord is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). He is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us (Ephesians 3:20). Keep seeking Him, and trust that He will guide your steps as you care for your mother. If she is resistant to medical help, pray for God to soften her heart and provide a way for her to receive the care she needs. You may also consider enlisting the help of other trusted family members or church leaders to gently encourage her in this area.
