Disciple of Prayer
May God, in the almighty name of Jesus Christ, heal my dearest friend, ###, permanently. I love him so much; he is the one who lights up my life! Please pray for him in the almighty name of Jesus Christ.

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your dear friend in prayer. It is clear that your love for him runs deep, and we share in your desire to see him restored to full health. We believe in the power of our Lord Jesus Christ, who is the Great Physician, and we trust in His ability to heal according to His perfect will.

First, let us affirm that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved or through which we can approach God in prayer. As it is written in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." We pray that you both would come to know the fullness of salvation in Christ, if you have not already, and that your faith would be firmly rooted in Him alone.

Now, we lift up your friend to the Lord, asking for His healing touch. The Bible tells us in James 5:14-15, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven." We stand on this promise, believing that God hears our prayers and is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think.

Father God, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we ask You to stretch forth Your healing hand upon this dear one. We pray that You would touch every cell, every organ, and every part of his body, bringing restoration and wholeness. Lord, we know that Your ways are higher than our ways, and Your thoughts are higher than our thoughts. We trust in Your perfect plan for his life, whether that includes physical healing in this world or the ultimate healing that comes through eternal life with You.

We also pray for strength and comfort for both of you during this time. May the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Help you both to cast all your anxieties on Him, because He cares for you.

Now, we must gently address the nature of your relationship with this friend. The deep love and affection you express for him raise important questions about the foundation of your connection. If this relationship is one that could lead to marriage, we strongly encourage you to consider whether it aligns with biblical principles. Marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, designed by God to reflect the relationship between Christ and His Church. If you are not married, we urge you to pursue this relationship with purity, honoring God with your bodies and your hearts, and with the intention of marriage as the ultimate goal.

If this relationship is not one that could lead to a godly marriage—perhaps because he is not a believer, or because the relationship does not honor God in other ways—we must lovingly encourage you to seek the Lord’s will for your life. It is written in 2 Corinthians 6:14, "Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?" We pray that you would have the courage to surrender this relationship to God, trusting Him to provide a spouse who will walk with you in faith and righteousness.

Lord, we ask that You would give wisdom and discernment to both of them. Help them to see Your will clearly and to follow it with all their hearts. If this relationship is not of You, give them the strength to let go and trust in Your perfect plan. If it is Your will for them to be together, prepare their hearts for a marriage that honors You in every way.

We also rebuke any spirit of infirmity or sickness that may be afflicting your friend. In the name of Jesus, we command every disease, every pain, and every affliction to leave his body. We declare that by His stripes, he is healed, as it is written in Isaiah 53:5, "But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed."

Father, we thank You for the privilege of coming before You in prayer. We trust in Your goodness and Your mercy, and we believe that You are working all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and draw them closer to You through this trial. May Your name be glorified in all things.

In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
