We come before the Lord with a heavy heart, lifting up this dear sister in Christ who is facing financial challenges while caring for her loved one with special needs. Father, we know that You see every struggle and every need, and we trust in Your provision and wisdom. The Bible tells us in Philippians 4:19, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." We stand on this promise, believing that You will meet her needs in ways that glorify Your name.
Lord, we ask for Your divine guidance over her finances. We see that there is a pattern of spending that is not sustainable, particularly with the frequent use of taxis. While we understand the convenience and necessity at times, we pray for wisdom in exploring more affordable transportation options like buses and the MRT, where feasible. Proverbs 21:20 says, "There is precious treasure and oil in the dwelling of the wise; but a foolish man swallows it up." Help her to be a wise steward of the resources You have entrusted to her, including the ### Assurance Package that has been credited. Give her discernment to prioritize her spending and the self-control to resist unnecessary expenses.
We also lift up her job situation to You, Lord. She is working in a secure position through a special needs organization, and we ask that You open doors for a pay increment. You are the God who owns "the cattle on a thousand hills" (Psalm 50:10), and nothing is too difficult for You. We pray that her employers would recognize her hard work, dedication, and the value she brings to her role. Let her labor be fruitful and rewarding, both financially and spiritually.
Father, we rebuke any spirit of fear, anxiety, or lack that may be trying to take hold of her heart. We declare that she is not defined by her financial situation but by her identity in Christ. Remind her daily of Your love and care, as Jesus said in Matthew 6:31-33, "Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." Let her seek You first, trusting that You will add all these things unto her.
We also pray for joy to fill her heart, Lord. Financial struggles can weigh heavily on a person, but we know that true joy comes from You. Nehemiah 8:10 tells us, "The joy of Yahweh is your strength." Fill her with Your joy, peace, and hope as she walks this journey, knowing that You are with her every step of the way.
Lastly, we want to gently remind her of the importance of coming to You in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, as He Himself said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." If she has not already, we encourage her to place her faith in Jesus, repent of her sins, and invite Him into her heart as her Lord and Savior. Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
