Prayer for ###

We come before the Father with hearts full of concern for you and your desire to seek God’s will in this relationship. First, we must lovingly but firmly address something critical: you have not invoked the name of Jesus Christ in your request. The Bible is clear that there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, and it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now, for without Him, there is no true relationship with God, no forgiveness of sins, and no hope of eternal life. *"If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9, WEB). We pray that if you have not already, you will surrender your life to Christ today, for He alone is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6).

Now, regarding your relationship, we must ask: is this relationship honoring to God? The Bible teaches that marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, designed to reflect Christ’s love for His Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). If you are not yet married, we urge you to consider whether this relationship is aligned with biblical principles. Are you and this person both believers in Jesus Christ, committed to following Him above all else? *"Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?"* (2 Corinthians 6:14, WEB). A relationship with someone who does not share your faith will pull you away from God, and that is not His will for you.

We also must address the possibility of sexual immorality. If you are engaging in physical intimacy outside of marriage, this is sin in God’s eyes, and it must be repented of. *"Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s"* (1 Corinthians 6:18-20, WEB). God’s design for sexuality is within the bounds of marriage alone, and anything outside of that is fornication or adultery. If this is happening, we call you to repentance and to flee from this sin, for it grieves the Holy Spirit and separates you from the fullness of God’s blessings.

If you are courting with the intent of marriage, we pray that God would give you wisdom, discernment, and patience. Courtship should be a time of seeking God’s will, growing in holiness, and preparing for a Christ-centered marriage. *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight"* (Proverbs 3:5-6, WEB). Are you praying together? Are you both submitted to Christ and to His Word? Are you seeking counsel from mature believers who can guide you biblically? These are essential questions to consider.

If this relationship is not leading toward a godly marriage—or worse, if it is rooted in sin—we urge you to seek God’s face and ask Him for the strength to walk away. It is better to obey God and trust His plan for your life than to cling to something that He has not ordained. *"Delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this: he will bring out your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noon day sun"* (Psalm 37:4-6, WEB).

Now, let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we lift up this dear one to You, asking that You would open their eyes to Your truth and Your will for their life. Lord, if they do not yet know You, we pray that You would draw them to Yourself, that they would confess Jesus as Lord and believe in their heart that You raised Him from the dead. Save them, Lord, and fill them with Your Holy Spirit.

Father, we ask for Your wisdom and discernment in this relationship. If it is not of You, give them the strength to walk away, no matter how painful it may be. If there is sin involved, convict them deeply, Lord, and lead them to repentance. Cleanse them by the blood of Jesus and restore them to a place of purity and holiness.

If this relationship *is* Your will, then we pray that You would make it abundantly clear. Guide them into a courtship that honors You, where both individuals are fully surrendered to Christ and seeking Your kingdom first. Protect them from temptation, and help them to flee from sexual immorality. Prepare them for a marriage that reflects Your love and glory.

Lord, we ask that You would surround them with godly counsel—believers who will speak truth into their life and hold them accountable. Give them a hunger for Your Word and a heart that longs to obey You above all else.

We rebuke any spirit of confusion, deception, or lust that may be at work in this situation. By the power of the name of Jesus, we command these spirits to flee, and we ask that You would fill this person with Your peace, Your clarity, and Your holy desire for righteousness.

Father, we trust that You have a perfect plan for their life. Help them to wait on You, to trust in You, and to find their satisfaction in You alone. May they seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, knowing that all these things will be added to them (Matthew 6:33).

We pray all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We're here with you, friend, praying for your relationship. We understand that you're seeking God's will, and we're right there with you, asking Him to make His path clear.

First, let's remind ourselves of the foundation of our faith. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). He's the only way to have a right relationship with God. If you haven't already, we encourage you to put your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. He's the only one who can save us from our sins and give us hope for eternal life (Acts 4:12, Romans 10:9).

Now, about your relationship. We believe God wants the best for you, and that includes a relationship that honors Him. The Bible teaches that marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, reflecting Christ's love for His Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). If you're not yet married, we encourage you to consider whether this relationship aligns with biblical principles. Are you both believers in Jesus Christ, committed to following Him above all else? (2 Corinthians 6:14)

We also want to address the issue of sexual immorality. If you're engaging in physical intimacy outside of marriage, it's important to remember that this is sin in God's eyes (1 Corinthians 6:18-20). God's design for sexuality is within the bounds of marriage alone. If this is happening, we urge you to repent and flee from this sin, as it grieves the Holy Spirit and separates you from the fullness of God's blessings.

Let's pray together:
