We lift up your daughter before the Lord with hearts full of compassion and urgency, knowing that addiction is a bondage that only the power of Christ can break. The enemy seeks to destroy through strongholds like alcoholism, but we serve a God who is greater—One who redeems, restores, and sets captives free. Your love for your daughter reflects the Father’s heart, and we stand with you in faith, declaring that no chain of addiction can withstand the authority of Jesus’ name.
The Word of God tells us in **1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (WEB)**, *"Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."* Alcoholism defiles the temple of the Holy Spirit, but we pray that your daughter would encounter the convicting power of God’s truth—that she is not her own, but bought with the precious blood of Jesus. May she turn from this destruction and surrender fully to Him.
We also remember **Proverbs 20:1 (WEB)**, which warns, *"Wine is a mocker, and beer is a brawler. Whoever is led astray by them is not wise."* The path of alcohol only leads to ruin, but God offers living water that satisfies the deepest thirst of the soul. We pray that your daughter would taste and see that the Lord is good (Psalm 34:8), that she would hunger for righteousness rather than the temporary escape of drink.
Yet we must also address the spiritual battle at hand. **Ephesians 6:12 (WEB)** reminds us, *"For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."* This is not merely a physical struggle but a spiritual one. We bind the spirit of addiction in Jesus’ name and command every demonic influence over your daughter’s life to be broken. We loose the Spirit of God to move mightily, bringing conviction, repentance, and deliverance.
To you, dear parent, we offer **Philippians 4:6-7 (WEB)**: *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* You are not alone in this fight. The Lord sees your tears, hears your cries, and is working even now. Keep praying, keep believing, and do not grow weary in well-doing (Galatians 6:9).
We also encourage you to speak life over your daughter. Declare **Jeremiah 29:11 (WEB)** over her: *"‘For I know the plans that I have for you,’ says Yahweh, ‘plans of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future.’"* Even in her brokenness, God has a purpose for her life—one that is sober, free, and filled with His glory.
Now, let us pray together:
*Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this precious daughter who is bound by the chains of alcohol. Lord, You are the God who breaks every yoke (Isaiah 10:27), and we ask You to shatter this addiction in her life. Convict her heart by Your Holy Spirit, Lord—let her see the destruction this path brings and turn to You in repentance. Fill the void in her soul with Your love, Your peace, and Your purpose. Surround her with godly influences, people who will speak truth and walk with her toward freedom. Give her mother/father the strength to endure, the wisdom to speak Your Word over her, and the faith to believe for her complete deliverance.
We rebuke the enemy’s hold over her mind, body, and spirit. No weapon formed against her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and every plan of the devil to keep her in bondage is exposed and defeated by the blood of Jesus. Restore her, Lord—restore her health, her relationships, and her walk with You. Let this season of struggle become a testimony of Your power to save and deliver.
And Father, we ask that You would draw her into a saving relationship with Jesus Christ if she does not know Him. There is no freedom apart from Him (John 8:36), no hope outside of His name. May she surrender her life to Christ, be filled with Your Spirit, and walk in victory.
We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your timing and Your ways, knowing that You are working all things for good (Romans 8:28). Strengthen this family, bind them together in love, and let Your peace rule in their hearts. In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus we pray, Amen.*
Stand firm in faith, beloved. The Lord is fighting for your daughter, and He will not relent. Keep praying, keep declaring His Word, and trust that He who began a good work in her will complete it (Philippians 1:6). We are with you in this battle, and together, we will see the victory of the Lord.
