Disciple of Prayer
I humbly ask for prayer for my wife as she is facing many serious health struggles. She is living with extreme bipolar disorder for over 20 years, as well as seizures that have led to lasting and ongoing brain damage. Her body is weak, and she now needs to use a wheelchair because she is losing muscle strength. Her muscles are deteriorating. She is also dealing with a painful stomach ulcer from stress, a swollen abdomen, and a recent diagnosis of diabetes.

Father, please meet deepest spiritual, physical, emotional, needs according to Your Will and timing in Jesus Name Amen

"May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace." Numbers 6:24-26

We lift your wife before the Lord with heavy yet hopeful hearts, knowing that our God is the Great Physician, the One who heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. Your devotion to her in sickness is a beautiful reflection of Christ’s love for His church, and we honor your commitment to stand by her in this season of deep trial.

The burdens she carries—bipolar disorder, seizures, brain damage, physical weakness, diabetes, and the pain of ulcers—are immense, and we acknowledge the toll this takes on both of you. Yet we are reminded in Scripture that our suffering is not in vain, for God uses even our weakest moments to display His strength. As the apostle Paul wrote, *"Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me. Therefore I take pleasure in weaknesses, in injuries, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then am I strong"* (2 Corinthians 12:9-10, WEB). Your wife’s body may be failing, but her spirit is held by the One who promises, *"I will never leave you nor forsake you"* (Hebrews 13:5, WEB).

We also recognize the spiritual battle that often accompanies such profound physical and mental suffering. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life abundantly (John 10:10, WEB). If there has been any opening—whether through despair, bitterness, or the weariness of long-suffering—we rebuke every scheme of the devil to exploit this season for harm. Instead, we declare that God’s peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your wife’s heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7, WEB). We pray that the Holy Spirit would minister to her in ways that medicine cannot, bringing comfort, clarity, and supernatural strength.

For her bipolar disorder and the damage wrought by seizures, we ask for divine intervention. The Lord Jesus healed the woman with the issue of blood who had suffered for twelve years (Mark 5:25-34, WEB), and He is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8, WEB). We pray for the restoration of her mind, that the neural pathways damaged by seizures would be miraculously repaired, and that the chemical imbalances in her brain would be regulated by the power of the Holy Spirit. May the God of hope fill her with all joy and peace in believing, that she may abound in hope (Romans 15:13, WEB).

For her physical decline—her deteriorating muscles, the diabetes, the ulcer, and the swollen abdomen—we plead for healing. We remember how Jesus had compassion on the multitudes and healed *all* who were sick (Matthew 8:16, WEB), and we ask that He would stretch forth His hand to touch your wife’s body. Let her muscles be strengthened, her blood sugar regulated, her stomach soothed, and her abdomen restored to health. We pray for wisdom for her doctors, that they would be guided to the right treatments, and for supernatural energy to fill her body, that she might regain mobility and vitality.

Brother, we do not overlook your role in this. Caring for a spouse in such a condition is a sacred but exhausting calling. We pray that the Lord would renew *your* strength as well, that you would mount up with wings like eagles, run and not grow weary, walk and not faint (Isaiah 40:31, WEB). May He surround you both with a community of believers who can offer practical help, encouragement, and prayer. Do not hesitate to ask for support—you are not meant to carry this alone.

Finally, we urge you both to fix your eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2, WEB). In the midst of this storm, let worship be your weapon and gratitude your shield. Even if healing tarries, let your hearts declare, *"Though the fig tree doesn’t blossom, and no fruit is on the vines; though the labor of the olive fails, and the fields produce no food; though the flocks are cut off from the fold, and there is no herd in the stalls: yet I will rejoice in Yahweh. I will be joyful in the God of my salvation!"* (Habakkuk 3:17-18, WEB).

**Our Prayer:**
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this precious sister who is enduring such profound suffering. Lord, You see every tear she has cried, every sleepless night, every moment of pain and confusion. You are not distant from her struggle—You are near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18, WEB), and You collect her tears in Your bottle (Psalm 56:8, WEB).

We ask for a miracle. Touch her mind, Lord—restore the pathways of her brain, calm the storms of bipolar disorder, and silence the seizures that have stolen so much from her. Heal her body—strengthen her muscles, regulate her blood sugar, soothe her stomach, and reduce the swelling in her abdomen. Let her wheelchair not be her final story, but a temporary seat from which she will rise in Your strength.

Father, we rebuke every spirit of infirmity, every assignment of the enemy to keep her bound. By the authority of Jesus’ name, we command her body to align with Your perfect design. Let her testimony be one of Your healing power, that many would see and glorify Your name.

Grant her husband supernatural endurance, wisdom, and peace. Surround them both with Your presence, Your provision, and Your people. Let their marriage be a beacon of Your faithfulness, a testament to the vows spoken in health and in sickness.

And Lord, if there is any area of unconfessed sin, any bitterness, any doubt, or any opening for the enemy, reveal it and cleanse it by Your blood. Draw them both closer to You in this trial, that their faith would not fail but would emerge refined as gold.

We trust You, Lord. Not our will, but Yours be done. Yet we ask boldly, believing that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we could ask or think (Ephesians 3:20, WEB). In the mighty name of Jesus, our Healer and Redeemer, we pray. Amen.

We're standing with you and your wife, lifting her up before the Lord today. We know that God is a God who heals, and we're claiming His healing power for her. We're believing for a miracle - for her mind to be restored, for her body to be strengthened, and for her to be filled with joy and peace. We're also praying for you, that you would be renewed in strength and surrounded by a community of support. We trust in God's goodness, even in the midst of this trial. Let's keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
