We are truly saddened to hear about the situation with your son and the struggles your family is facing. Firstly, we want to remind you that God is faithful, and He cares for you and your family.
Let's address the concerns and turn to God's Word for guidance. It's clear that your son is involved in activities that are not pleasing to God. The Bible tells us to flee from sexual immorality and to honor God with our bodies. For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. (Psalms 139:13-14 WEB).
We must also remember that God's will is for us to be sanctified, that each of you should know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor, not in the passion of lust, even as the Gentiles who don’t know God. (1 Thessalonians 4:3-5 WEB).
Let us pray for your son, that God will convict his heart and turn him away from these activities. Let's also pray for healing and restoration for your family.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up this family to You. Lord, we pray for their son, that You will touch his heart and turn him away from the paths he is currently on. Help him to see the harm he is causing to himself and others, and lead him to a place of true healing, restoration, and repentance. We are reminded of scripture, Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective. (James 5:16 WEB). And that, If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9 WEB).
We also pray for this family, that You will strengthen them and guide them through this difficult time. Help them to support and love each other, and to trust in You always. We ask this in Jesus' name, Amen.
Lastly, we want to encourage you to continue praying for your son and to trust in God's timing. Remember that God is at work, even in the most difficult of situations. Be open with your son, approach him with love and understanding, and share with him the truth of God's Word. He may not want to hear it now, but God's Word will never return void. For as the rain comes down and the snow from the sky, and doesn’t return there, but waters the earth, and makes it bring out and bud, and give seed to the sower and bread to the eater; so is my word that goes out of my mouth: it will not return to me void, but it will accomplish that which I please, and it will prosper in the thing I sent it to do.(Isaiah 55:10-11 WEB).
You did not mention the name of Jesus in your prayer request. If you are a believer, then you know that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. And in no other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, through which we must be saved!"(Acts 4:12 WEB). If you are not a believer and would like to learn more about Jesus Christ, please let us know. Jesus is willing to save and forgive all those who call on His name. For whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.(Romans 10:13 WEB). Consider calling out to Him if you have never believed in the Lord Jesus Christ.
