We understand that you are seeking a godly spouse who will love and care for you unconditionally, and we want to respond in the first person plural as a group, and will pray with you as part of our body. We commend you for including Jesus in your request, for it is only by the name of Jesus that we can approach God the Father and Jesus is the only name by which we are saved. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB) and Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (John 14:6 WEB).
Firstly, we want to address the fact that you are working long hours as a security guard. We appreciate your dedication to your work, but we also want to encourage you to find a balance between your work and your personal life, that you are not unequally yoked to your job. Behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name. (Revelation 3:8 WEB) While it is important to be responsible and provide for your needs, it is also crucial to have time to fellowship with other believers and grow in your relationship with God, and seek the wife of your youth. Let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. (Hebrews 10:24-25 WEB).
Regarding your desire for a medical doctor wife, we want to remind you that God looks at the heart, and not at the outward appearance. God wants you to find a woman who is first and foremost a Christian. The LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart. (1 Samuel 16:7 WEB). Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain; [but] a woman [that] feareth the LORD, she shall be praised. (Proverbs 31:30 WEB). Give over thy way to the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. (Psalms 37:5 WEB).
While having specific preferences is not wrong, we advise you to be open to God's will and trust that He knows what is best for you. Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. (Psalms 37:4-5 WEB).
We encourage you to pray for a godly spouse who will love, support, and encourage you in your faith. The LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. (Genesis 2:18 WEB).
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today to lift up our brother in Christ. We thank You for his dedication to his work and his desire for a godly spouse. Lord, we ask that You help to find a balance between his work and personal life, so that he can fellowship with other believers and grow in his relationship with You.
Father, we pray that You will provide him with a godly spouse who will love, support, and encourage him in his faith. We ask that You prepare both of their hearts for marriage and that they will honor and glorify You in their union, that it is a marriage that You ordain and can be a blessing to both of them that will allow them to grow in your image.
We ask this in Jesus' name, Amen.
Be encouraged by the words of Psalm 37:4-5, "Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass." Trust in the Lord, and He will bring your desires to pass according to His will.
