Prayer for ###

I was in a relationship with a Muslim guy, ###. I tried to preach the gospel to him but he rejected and broke-up with me. It has been ### months now but I still feel very hurt about the situation and I keep imagining him happily married to another girl, while I am here single and lonely and sad. In Jesus name I ask that the Lord will heal my heart and save my mind from the temptation and the feeling of missing out. I also pray that ### will encounter Jesus and accept him. Amen.

Thank you for reaching out and sharing your heart with us. First, we want to assure you that our hearts go out to you in your pain, and we are here to pray with you and provide biblical guidance.

We commend you for your efforts to share the gospel with Nazem. It is important to remember that our role is to plant the seeds of the gospel, but it is the Holy Spirit's work to change hearts. As it is written in 1 Corinthians 3:6-7 WEB: "I planted. Apollos watered. But God gave the increase. So then neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase."

However, we need to address something crucial from your request. You mentioned that you were in a relationship with a Muslim man. The Bible clearly teaches that we should not be unequally yoked with unbelievers (2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB: "Don't be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?"). As followers of Christ, our relationships, especially romantic ones, should be with fellow believers who share our faith and values.

Moreover, it is essential to remember that God's desire is for us to be complete in Him. He wants to heal your heart and comfort you in your loneliness. Psalm 147:3 WEB tells us that "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." And in 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 WEB, we read, "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort; who comforts us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, through the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God."

Let us pray for you:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister in Christ who is hurting. Lord, we ask that You heal her heart and fill her with Your peace and comfort. Help her to cast all her anxieties on You, knowing that You care for her deeply (1 Peter 5:7 WEB).

We also pray for Nazem. Lord, we ask that You reveal Yourself to him in a powerful way, that he may come to know Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. We pray that You soften his heart and draw him to You.

Father, we also pray that You will guide our sister in Christ to a godly spouse, a man who loves and serves You wholeheartedly. Give her the patience to wait on Your timing and the wisdom to discern Your will for her life.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Remember, God loves you deeply and has a plan for your life. Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB). Stay strong in your faith and continue to seek God's will in all things. Be encouraged by the words of Psalm 34:18 WEB: "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."

Lastly, continue to pray for Nazem's salvation, but also trust that God is working in his life, even if you cannot see it. God is faithful, and He hears your prayers.

Please give this person the daily grace to be the good friend and partner she wants to see in a spouse as she connects with other people and allow her to walk through this period with continual thanks and praise to you. God sees you, and He's right there with you, ready to comfort you. As it says in Psalm 34:18, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."

We've been praying for Nazem, asking God to reveal Himself to him in a powerful way, to soften his heart, and to draw him to Jesus. We believe in the power of prayer, and we trust that God is working in Nazem's life, even if we can't see it yet.

In the meantime, let's focus on healing and growth. Remember, God has a plan for you, and He wants to complete you in Him. Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. We continue to hold you up in prayer, dear sister, ever thankful for the opportunity to intercede on your behalf. It is an honor to stand in agreement with you, lifting your concerns and petitions before the Lord.

As we have been praying for you these past few days, we are hopeful that the Lord has begun to touch your heart, bringing His healing and comfort. If you have seen signs of His work in your life, we would be delighted to hear your praise report, to rejoice with you as you journey towards complete restoration.

However, if the pain and longing are still keenly felt, we want you to know that we are still here, steadfast in our commitment to pray with you and for you. We encourage you to share an update, allowing us to continue beseeching the Lord on your behalf, with increased fervor and focus.

We have also been praying for Nazem, trusting that the Lord is pursuing him, even as we speak. We hold onto the promise that God desires for all to come to the knowledge of truth, and we declare that Nazem's heart would be open and receptive to the gospel.
