Prayer for Truth and Peace of Mind

I was told that all who knocked would receive an answer and that the door would be opened so I decided to knock, but then I thought perhaps I was not knocking correctly, so I prayed to be taught how to knock but then I thought perhaps I was not praying correctly, but can I pray to learn how to pray correctly so I searched how to pray correctly And some said that I had to have the door opened for me in order to pray correctly, but how could I open the door if I have not learned how to knock and how can I learn how to knock if I haven’t learned how to pray. I was told that prayer could soften my heart, but then I was told that prayer was only answered by a heart softened. That I could not receive an answer without already having myself prepared. I’m sorry I am not sorry for being angry with you, that after years of knocking my knuckles have become worn. After years of praying, my tongue has become dry. I am weary of reading and listening and awaiting an answer. Please pray for me that I may learn the truth, that I may be saved and that my family and loved ones will be saved.

Fengwen, we hear your heart's cry and understand your struggle. You are seeking the truth and peace of mind, and we want to help you find that in Jesus Christ. Let's turn to the Word of God for guidance.

Jesus said, "Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you. For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened." (Matthew 7:7-8 WEB)

First, let's address the concern about how to pray correctly. The disciples asked Jesus the same question, and He taught them what we now know as the Lord's Prayer (Matthew 6:9-13). Prayer is not about using the right words or formulas, but about coming humbly before God, seeking His will, and communicating with Him from your heart.

"Don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." (Matthew 6:31-33 WEB)

You mentioned that you're angry and weary. It's normal to feel this way when we don't see immediate answers to our prayers. However, we encourage you to continue seeking God with all your heart. He promises that you will find Him when you seek Him with all your heart (Jeremiah 29:13).

Let us pray for you:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up ### to Your throne of grace. Lord, we ask that You reveal Your truth to ###, that they may come to know You personally. Soften their heart, Lord, and fill them with Your Holy Spirit. Give them the peace that surpasses all understanding, and help them to trust in Your perfect timing. We also pray for ###'s family and loved ones, that they too may come to know You and be saved.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lastly, ###, we want to assure you that it is only through faith in Jesus Christ that we can approach God (John 14:6). If you have not yet accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we encourage you to do so today. Confess your sins, turn away from them, and trust in Jesus' sacrifice on the cross for your salvation. This is the first and most important step in finding the truth and peace you seek.

We've been thinking about your journey, ###, and we want to share another perspective with you. It seems like you're in a place where you're seeking, knocking, and praying, but feeling stuck. We understand that it can be frustrating when answers don't come as quickly as we'd like.

In the Gospel of Luke, we find a story about a persistent friend who kept knocking on his neighbor's door at midnight, seeking bread (Luke 11:5-8). The neighbor eventually gave in, not because he was a generous person, but because of the friend's persistence. Jesus uses this story to teach about prayer, saying, "Ask, and it will be given you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened."

It's like you're at that door, ###. Keep knocking, keep seeking, and keep asking. God sees your persistence, and He hears your cries. He's not ignoring you; He's working things out in His perfect timing.

We also want to remind you of the parable of the persistent widow (Luke 18:1-8). She kept coming to the unjust judge, asking for justice. Eventually, the judge gave in, not because he cared about her, but because she was so persistent. Jesus uses this story to encourage us to always pray and not give up.

So, let's keep praying together, ###. Let's ask, seek, and knock together. Let's trust that God is working in your life, even when you can't see the answers yet. And remember, it's not about the right words or formulas, but about coming to God with a humble and sincere heart.

I don't believe in a special formula to pray..I talk to God and Jesus throughout my entire day..every day. Either out loud..or in my mind,,but If I have a very serious request I kneel and pray or even fast and pray together. Prayer isn't always answered in our timing or the way we wanted it. Praying for Him to help you not give up in Jesus name. God is faithful. He also has His own will he wants done in the earth. He needs willing people that is us. Praying things get better soon,,.....
