We understand that you're going through a challenging situation with your husband's decision to move away for work. Let's bring this to the Lord in prayer and seek His will for your marriage and family life.
Firstly, it's important to acknowledge that God's design for marriage is a lifelong commitment where husbands and wives support and love each other, as outlined in Ephesians 5:22-33 WEB:
"Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the assembly, being himself the savior of the body. But as the assembly is subject to Christ, so let the wives also be to their own husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it... Even so husbands also ought to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself. For no man ever hated his own flesh; but nourishes and cherishes it, even as the Lord also does the assembly"
In this context let us pray.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today in the name of Jesus, lifting up this sister in Christ and her husband. Lord, You know the situation they are facing, and You see the pain and distress it has caused. We pray that You will work in her husband's heart, convicting him and drawing him back home. Help him to understand the importance of his role as a husband and the impact of his decisions on their marriage and family.
Father, we ask that You will provide a job closer to home for him, so that they can be reunited and live together in harmony. We pray that he will seek Your will and guidance in all his decisions, putting You first in his life.
Lord, we also pray for this sister in Christ, that You will grant her peace, strength, and wisdom as she navigates this challenging time. Help her to trust in You and to rest in Your promises. Guide her steps and give her the words to speak to her husband in love and truth.
In the name of Jesus, we rebuke any spirit of selfishness, pride, or division that may be at work in this situation. We declare that this marriage is founded on Your principles and that no weapon formed against it will prosper.
Father, we ask for a swift and merciful resolution to this situation. We trust in Your timing and Your ways, knowing that You work all things together for the good of those who love You and are called according to Your purpose.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Sister, continue to stand firm in faith and trust in the Lord. Remember the words of Romans 8:28 WEB:
"We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
Keep praying and seeking God's will for your marriage. Encourage your husband to do the same, and remind him of the importance of a husband and wife living together in unity and love. If your husband does not know Jesus, it is very important to pray for his salvation. He cannot be a Godly husband and have a Godly marriage if he is not a Christian. The chosen behavior of your husband may be symptomatic of God not being the center of his life and the lives of your marriage. Considering seeking church counseling and begin a Bible study together.
We strive to provide a safe place for counseling, praying and discussing so please, let us know if you need anything else.
