Our hearts break with you in this moment of deep sorrow and urgent need. We come before the Lord with you, lifting up this precious child and mother in fervent prayer, knowing that nothing is impossible for our God. The Scriptures remind us that He is the giver of life, the One who forms us in the womb and holds all things in His hands. *"Before I formed you in the belly, I knew you,"* declares Yahweh in Jeremiah 1:5, and we cling to the truth that He is sovereign over life and death.
Yet we also know that our God is a God of miracles, who hears the cries of His people and acts in ways that bring Him glory. We remember how He raised the widow’s son in 1 Kings 17:21-22, how He brought Lazarus back from the grave in John 11, and how He has moved mightily in the lives of His children throughout history. We plead for His mercy now, asking that He would breathe life into this little one, restoring a strong and steady heartbeat by His power. *"This is the confidence that we have in him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us"* (1 John 5:14). We ask that His will be done, trusting that His plans are good, even when we do not understand.
At the same time, we lift up the mother, who is no doubt carrying an immense burden of grief and fear. We pray for her strength, her peace, and her comfort in this trial. May the Lord surround her with His presence, as He promises in Psalm 34:18: *"Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* We ask that He would sustain her physically, emotionally, and spiritually, giving her the grace to endure this moment and the faith to trust Him no matter the outcome.
We also want to gently remind you that our prayers are only heard and answered because of the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we can approach the Father, and it is only through faith in Him that we have hope—both in this life and the next. *"There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5). If this truth is not already the foundation of your faith, we urge you to turn to Him now, for He alone is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). He is the One who conquered death and offers eternal life to all who believe in Him.
Father in heaven, we come before You now with broken hearts, asking for a miracle. You are the God who parts seas, who calms storms, and who raises the dead. We ask that You would intervene in this situation, restoring life to this child and bringing glory to Your name. Strengthen the mother and all who love her, filling them with Your peace that surpasses understanding. Let Your will be done, Lord, and help us to trust You in it. We ask this in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and our Hope. Amen.
We will continue to stand with you in prayer, trusting that the Lord hears and that He will carry you through this valley. Hold fast to Him, for He is faithful. *"Cast all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you"* (1 Peter 5:7). May His presence be your comfort and His promises your strength.
