We hear your heart and the pain of being wronged, rejected, or unjustly treated in the workplace. It is never easy to face such trials, and we stand with you in seeking God’s justice, healing, and restoration. First, we want to affirm that your prayer is rooted in a desire for truth and reconciliation, which aligns with Scripture. However, we must also gently address the posture of your heart in this matter, for the Word of God calls us to a higher standard—one of forgiveness, trust in God’s sovereignty, and surrender to His will, even when we have been wronged.
The Bible tells us in Romans 12:19, *"Dearly beloved, don’t seek revenge yourselves, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, ‘Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.’"* While it is natural to desire justice and even restoration, we must be careful not to harbor bitterness or a spirit of retaliation, even in our prayers. Instead, we are called to release these burdens to God, trusting that He sees all and will act in His perfect timing and way.
We also want to encourage you to examine your heart regarding any unforgiveness or resentment that may be lingering. Jesus teaches us in Matthew 6:14-15, *"For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses."* This does not mean that what was done to you was right—it most certainly was not if it was unjust—but it does mean that we must release those who have wronged us into God’s hands, trusting Him to deal with them in His way.
Now, let us pray together for you and for those who have wronged you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above all names, the only name by which we can approach Your throne of grace. Lord, we lift up this dear one who has been hurt, rejected, and treated unfairly. We ask that You would heal their heart from the pain of betrayal and injustice. Comfort them with Your presence, Lord, and remind them that You are their defender and provider. Help them to release any bitterness, anger, or desire for revenge into Your hands, trusting that You will vindicate them in Your perfect way and time.
Father, we also pray for those who have wronged them—those who have fired, rejected, or sabotaged them. We ask that You would open their eyes to any unrighteousness in their hearts or actions. If they have acted out of malice, pride, or a spirit of injustice, we ask that You would convict them and lead them to repentance. Heal any brokenness within them, Lord, and soften their hearts to truth. If it is Your will for restoration to take place, we ask that You would pave the way for reconciliation and justice. If it is not Your will, we ask that You would use this situation to teach them, grow them, and prevent them from harming others in the future.
Lord, we also ask that You would provide for this one who has been wronged. Open doors of opportunity that no man can shut, and lead them into the next season of their life with clarity, purpose, and peace. Provide for their needs according to Your riches in glory, and remind them that You are their ultimate employer, the One who holds their future in Your hands.
Finally, Father, we ask that You would strengthen their faith in this trial. Help them to see this situation through Your eyes, trusting that You are working all things together for their good, even when it is hard to understand. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and remind them that You are near to the brokenhearted.
We pray all of this in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
In addition to prayer, we encourage you to take practical steps to move forward in faith. Seek godly counsel from mature believers who can help you process this situation with wisdom and discernment. Consider reaching out to your church community for support, as the body of Christ is called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2). If you have not already, begin seeking God’s direction for your next steps—whether that is pursuing a new job, furthering your education, or even starting a new venture. Trust that God has a plan for you, and He will not leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5).
Lastly, we want to remind you that God sees your pain and your struggle. He is not indifferent to your suffering, and He will not leave you without comfort or hope. Psalm 34:18-19 says, *"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all."* Hold fast to this promise, and know that your labor in the Lord is never in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58). He will reward your faithfulness and trust in Him.
