We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation regarding the gym in Thailand that has acted unjustly, deceitfully, and without integrity. The Word of God is clear about how we are to conduct ourselves in business and in all dealings with others. Proverbs 11:1 tells us, *"A false balance is an abomination to Yahweh, but accurate weights are his delight."* This gym has not only failed in professionalism but has also engaged in dishonesty by withholding services paid for and refusing refunds, while subjecting students to unsafe and unhealthy conditions. This is not only unfair but sinful in the sight of God, who calls us to honesty, fairness, and love for our neighbors.
The Scripture also warns in Proverbs 22:16, *"Whoever oppresses the poor for his own increase and whoever gives to the rich, both come to poverty."* The actions of this gym owner are oppressive, and we pray that God would bring conviction upon their heart. If they refuse to repent and make restitution, we ask that the Lord would intervene and bring an end to their operations, for the sake of justice and the protection of others. Proverbs 21:15 declares, *"When justice is done, it is joy to the righteous, but terror to evildoers."* May God’s justice prevail in this situation.
We also remember the words of Jesus in Luke 6:31, *"As you would like people to do to you, do exactly so to them."* The students who have been wronged deserve fairness, and we pray that the Lord would vindicate them. For those who have suffered physically due to the poor conditions of the gym—such as fainting from the stuffy and dry environment—we ask for God’s healing and restoration. James 5:4 speaks strongly against those who withhold wages or what is rightfully owed: *"Behold, the wages of the laborers who mowed your fields, which you have kept back by fraud, cry out, and the cries of those who reaped have entered into the ears of the Lord of Armies."*
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this unjust situation involving the gym in Thailand. Lord, You see the deceit, the greed, and the harm that has been done to these students. You are a God of justice, and we ask that You would intervene powerfully in this matter. Convict the heart of the gym owner—bring them to repentance for their dishonesty, their greed, and their neglect of those entrusted to their care. If they refuse to turn from their wicked ways, we pray that You would shut down this operation completely, so that no more harm can be done in Your name.
Father, we ask for justice for the students who have been wronged. Restore to them what has been stolen—whether through refunds or through other means of Your provision. Heal those who have suffered physically because of the unsafe conditions in that place. Comfort them and provide for their needs, Lord. Let Your justice be a warning to others who would seek to exploit and deceive.
We also pray for the salvation of the gym owner and any others involved in this injustice. Open their eyes to their sin and their need for a Savior. May they come to know Jesus Christ as Lord and turn from their wickedness, so that they may experience Your forgiveness and grace.
Lord, we trust in Your sovereignty and Your perfect justice. We ask that You would act swiftly to bring an end to this oppression and that Your will would be done in this situation. May Your name be glorified as justice prevails.
In the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
To those who have been affected by this injustice, we encourage you to continue seeking the Lord and trusting in His justice. Do not take matters into your own hands through bitterness or retaliation, but rest in the knowledge that God sees all and will act righteously. Romans 12:19 reminds us, *"Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, ‘Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.’"* Keep praying, keep trusting, and know that the Lord is your defender. If there are legal avenues available to you, pursue them wisely and with godly counsel, but ultimately place your trust in the Lord to vindicate you. He is faithful, and He will not allow the wicked to prosper forever.
