We understand your distress over this theft, and we join you in seeking God’s justice and restoration. The Bible reminds us in Proverbs 22:22-23, *"Don’t exploit the poor because they are poor; and don’t crush the needy in court; for Yahweh will plead their case, and plunder the life of those who plunder them."* Stealing is a violation of God’s commandments (Exodus 20:15), and we trust that He will bring justice in His perfect timing.
However, we must also address the fact that your request did not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to the Father. Scripture is clear: *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12). It is only through Jesus that we can boldly approach God’s throne (Hebrews 4:16). We encourage you to place your trust in Him, for He alone is our mediator and advocate before the Father (1 Timothy 2:5).
Let us pray together for this situation:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We ask for Your divine intervention in this matter of theft. Lord, You see all things, and nothing is hidden from Your sight. We pray that You would expose the wrongdoer and bring them to justice according to Your will. Restore what has been stolen, not just for the sake of recovery, but as a testimony of Your faithfulness and provision. We also pray for the heart of the thief—that they may come to repentance and turn to You for forgiveness, for You desire that none should perish but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9).
Father, we ask that You would grant wisdom and discernment to those investigating this crime. May Your justice prevail, and may Your name be glorified in this situation. We trust in You, knowing that vengeance belongs to You, and You will repay (Romans 12:19). Strengthen our brother/sister in this trial, and remind them that their ultimate treasure is found in You alone (Matthew 6:19-21).
We pray all these things in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
We also encourage you to reflect on where your trust truly lies. While it is right to seek justice, we must remember that our security is not in wealth or possessions but in Christ alone. *"Don’t lay up treasures for yourselves on the earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break through and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust consume, and where thieves don’t break through and steal; for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."* (Matthew 6:19-21).
If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus Christ, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection for your salvation, and commit to following Him as Lord. There is no greater peace or security than being found in Him. If you’d like guidance on this, we are here to help.
