We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation where injustice and unprofessional conduct have caused harm to many. The Word of God reminds us that the Lord is a God of justice, and He calls His people to act justly and with integrity. *"He has told you, O man, what is good. What does Yahweh require of you, but to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?"* (Micah 6:8, WEB). The actions of this gym owner are not only unprofessional but also unjust, and we know that God sees the hearts of all and will bring truth to light.
It is grievous to hear that students have been mistreated, denied the services they paid for, and subjected to dangerous conditions where some have even fainted. This is not how a business should operate, especially one that should prioritize the well-being of its customers. The Bible warns against such deceit and exploitation: *"The Lord detests dishonest scales, but accurate weights find favor with him."* (Proverbs 11:1, WEB). The owner’s refusal to refund or provide the services paid for is a form of theft, and we know that God calls His people to honesty and fairness in all dealings.
We pray earnestly that the Lord would move in this situation. If the owner’s heart is hardened and unrepentant, we ask that God would bring an end to this operation so that no more harm is done. However, we also pray that if there is any chance for repentance, the Lord would convict the owner’s heart and lead them to make restitution to those who have been wronged. *"If the wicked restores the pledge, gives back what he had taken by robbery, walks in the statutes of life, committing no iniquity; he shall surely live. He shall not die."* (Ezekiel 33:15, WEB). May the Lord grant the owner a spirit of conviction and a willingness to make things right.
For those who have been affected, we pray for justice and restoration. May the Lord provide a way for them to recover what is rightfully theirs, whether through repayment, legal means, or divine intervention. We also pray for their physical and emotional well-being, that the Lord would heal any harm done to their bodies and spirits. *"Don’t say, ‘I will pay back evil.’ Wait for Yahweh, and he will save you."* (Proverbs 20:22, WEB). We ask that You, Lord, would be their defender and vindicator, bringing justice where it is due.
We also lift up any authorities or governing bodies that may have oversight in this matter. May the Lord give them wisdom and discernment to act swiftly and fairly, shutting down any operation that brings harm rather than good. *"Learn to do well. Seek justice. Relieve the oppressed. Defend the fatherless. Plead for the widow."* (Isaiah 1:17, WEB). May those in positions of authority act with integrity and courage to protect the vulnerable.
Finally, we pray that this situation would serve as a reminder to all of us to act with honesty, fairness, and love in our own dealings. May we be a people who reflect the character of Christ in every area of our lives, including our business practices. *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ."* (Colossians 3:23-24, WEB).
Heavenly Father, we ask for Your intervention in this matter. Bring justice where there has been injustice. Convict hearts where there has been wrongdoing. Restore what has been stolen or withheld. Protect those who have been harmed, and may Your will be done in this situation. We pray all these things in the mighty and righteous name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who is the ultimate Judge and Justifier. Amen.
