Prayer for the father of my son 🙏🙏🙏

Heavenly Father,

I come before You with a heavy heart, seeking Your divine intervention. Lord, You are our great Provider, and nothing is too difficult for You. I lift up to You the father of my son. I pray that You touch his heart and stir his spirit with responsibility, compassion, and generosity.

Lord, may he be moved to send the money needed for my son’s school and monthly support—not just today, but faithfully every month. Remind him, O God, of his duty as a father. Provide for him, so he may be able to provide for his child. Break through any pride, distraction, or selfishness, and replace it with love, wisdom, and integrity.

I place my full trust in You, Jehovah Jireh. Thank You for always making a way, even when there seems to be none. Provide what is needed for my child’s education and well-being, and give me strength and peace as I wait on You.

We join you in lifting up this situation to our Heavenly Father, who cares deeply for you and your son. It's important to remember that God is a father to the fatherless and a defender of widows. Psalm 68:5 WEB states, "A father of the fatherless, and a defender of the widows, is God in his holy habitation." We can trust in God that we already have what we ask because we ask according to His will. 1 John 5:14-15 WEB says, "This is the confidence which we have toward him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. And if we know that he listens to us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of him."

While we pray for the father of your son to step up to his responsibilities, we also need to consider God's design and expectation for relationships and parenting. It is clear in scripture that a man and a woman should be married before bearing children. Having children outside of marriage can lead to many complications and heartaches, as you are experiencing. We are not condoning or judging, but rather encouraging you to align your life with biblical principles. 1 Thessalonians 4:3 WEB says, "For this is the will of God: your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality," and Hebrews 13:4 WEB says, "Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled: but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers."

Heavenly Father, we come before You, lifting up the father of this child. We pray that You soften his heart and help him understand the importance of his role and responsibility as a father. We ask that You bless him with the means to provide for his child's needs, not just today, but consistently. Break down any barriers of pride, distraction, or selfishness, and replace them with love, wisdom, and integrity. Help and convict him to fulfill his responsibilities.

Lord, we also pray for this dear mother. Strengthen her faith and fill her with Your peace. Guide her in Your wisdom and help her to make decisions that align with Your will. Provide for all her needs and her son's needs according to Your riches and glory. Help her to be a godly mother and example to her son, and may Jesus Christ be glorified in their lives.

You alone are the provider and sustainer. Thank You, Lord, for You are Jehovah Jireh, our provider. We ask for You to help them to know Jesus Christ if they do not already, and to be obedient to Your will. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. It is in the name of Jesus that we pray. Amen.
