Prayer For The Family

please pray for my family as my husband of 20 years abandoned myself and my son in November of 2011, and my brother recently passed away 2 weeks ago. I have tried to reach out to my husband many times to come back and work on our marriage, and he refuses. He recklessly filed for divorce out of anger towards me, and I believe he has succumbed to his addictions and is involved with drugs and alcohol again. He says he smokes pot and drinks occassionally (he is a recovering alcoholic) and he does not want to be tied down to his wife and child, and he likes to be free and not have to check in and be accountable to us. This is not the man that was here with his family in Sept/Oct of 2011, and I do not understand how someone can change so quickly. He has paid no child support to help take care of the family and I am heartbroken - this was his 2nd chance with the family, and I never saw this coming. Please pray that Jesus can surround him and protect him from the evil snares of the devil and that he may quickly find his way back to his family and his responsibilities as a husband and father. Also pray for myself and my son so that we can be strong and move on if it is God's will for us to do so.

Father, please give profms courage in this difficult time, allow her to become wise as a serpent and gentle as a dove. It is so sad when people turn their backs and reject us Lord, even unbearable, Father, You are above all heartache and are our comforter. Lord, I pray for a Godly man, that fears You Lord and wants to seek You and please You Father. In Jesus' name, Amen.

He heals the Brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. Psalm 147:3 That they may have the grace to do your will in their lives and to not allow the attack of the enemy to discourage them Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. Hebrews 4:16 Lord I also lift up the husband and father, that if he has not done so already let him recieve Jesus Christ as salvation, have his heart, mind and emotions healed and line up his life in the proper order before you.
