They sold their possessions and goods, and distributed them to all, as anyone had need. Father in Heaven, we come before You with hearts full of faith and expectation. We lift up our brother/sister who has received this calling to start a church and community like the early believers in Acts. Lord, we ask that You would go before them and prepare the way. Give them wisdom and discernment as they seek Your will in every decision—from the location and structure of the church to the hearts of those who will join. Raise up faithful men and women who will stand alongside them, sharing the same vision and passion for Your Kingdom.
We pray for protection over this work, Lord. The enemy would love to sow division, distraction, or discouragement, but we declare that no weapon formed against this church shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Guard the hearts of those involved from pride, selfish ambition, or any spirit that would seek to corrupt the purity of this mission. Let this community be a place where Your presence is tangibly felt, where the lost are saved, the broken are healed, and the weary find rest.
We also ask that You would provide every resource needed—whether financial, material, or spiritual. We also want to encourage you, dear brother/sister, to remain steadfast in prayer and the Word as you move forward. The early church was birthed in prayer (Acts 1:14), and so must this work be. Seek the Lord daily for direction, and do not grow weary in doing good (Galatians 6:9). Surround yourself with godly counsel—those who will speak truth in love and hold you accountable to the vision God has given you.
Remember, too, that the foundation of any church must be Christ Himself. As Paul wrote, *"For no one can lay any foundation other than that which has been laid, which is Jesus Christ"* (1 Corinthians 3:11 WEB). Keep the Gospel central in all you do, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes (Romans 1:16).
Lastly, we rebuke any spirit of fear or doubt that may try to creep in. The Lord has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). Walk in the confidence that He who began this good work in you will carry it on to completion (Philippians 1:6).
