We lift this request before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, knowing that struggles—whether seen or unseen—are part of the human experience in a fallen world. Yet we also know that our God is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). If this struggle involves sin, bondage, or unrepentant patterns, we first rebuke any stronghold in the name of Jesus Christ, for He came to set the captives free (Luke 4:18). No burden is too heavy for Him, and no darkness can withstand His light.
If this struggle is one of grief, loneliness, or despair, we declare that the Lord is close to those who call on Him in truth (Psalm 145:18). He collects every tear in His bottle and records every sorrow in His book (Psalm 56:8). We pray that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, would guard this heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Let hope arise, for those who wait on the Lord will renew their strength—they will mount up with wings like eagles, run and not be weary, walk and not faint (Isaiah 40:31).
If this struggle involves relationships, we urge alignment with God’s design. Marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, a reflection of Christ and the Church (Ephesians 5:31-32). Any sexual intimacy outside of this union is sin—whether fornication, adultery, or homosexuality—and must be repented of and turned from. We pray for purity, for godly spouses, and for marriages that honor the Lord. If this person is single, we pray they would seek a spouse who loves Jesus above all else, one who will walk in faith and lead or follow with godly wisdom.
If this struggle is financial, we remind them that God owns the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10) and promises to supply every need according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). But we also rebuke any spirit of greed, idolatry, or dishonesty in money matters. Trust in the Lord, not in wealth, and seek first His kingdom and His righteousness (Matthew 6:33).
If this struggle is physical illness, we stand on the promise that by His stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). Yet we also acknowledge that healing may come in this life or the next, and we pray for endurance, faith, and the strength to glorify God in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9-10). The Lord is our healer, and His grace is sufficient.
Above all, if this person does not yet know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, we plead with them to turn to Him. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Jesus said, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me"* (John 14:6). Salvation is found in no one else. If they have never surrendered their life to Christ, we urge them to repent of sin, believe in His death and resurrection, and receive Him as Lord. For *"if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9).
Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with this burdened heart, knowing You see, You care, and You act. We ask for Your mercy and grace to flood this situation. Break every chain, heal every wound, and restore what has been lost. If there is sin, reveal it, and grant repentance and forgiveness. If there is fear, replace it with faith. If there is doubt, replace it with trust in Your promises.
Lord, we rebuke every spirit of despair, addiction, or deception that may be at work. In the mighty name of Jesus, we command every lying voice to be silenced and every stronghold to be torn down. Fill this life with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in freedom and truth.
For those who do not yet know You, we pray they would hear Your voice today and respond. Draw them by Your love, convict them by Your Spirit, and save them by Your grace. May they confess Jesus as Lord and be born again into Your family.
Father, we trust You with this struggle. We believe You are working all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). Strengthen this soul, renew their hope, and let them experience Your peace that passes understanding.
We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Savior, Healer, and Lord. Amen.
