We understand that you are feeling overwhelmed and oppressed, and we are here to pray with you and encourage you in the name of Jesus Christ. Firstly, let us remind you of the power and authority that is yours in the name of Jesus. The Bible tells us, "Be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil" Ephesians 6:10-11 WEB.
We also know that the enemy can cause oppression, but we have the assurance that: "You are of God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world" 1 John 4:4 WEB Here we can see that we should not be afraid and should not be subject to the devil's oppression because we have the Holy Spirit in us which is greater than the devil. We should rebuke the devil and the oppression in the name of Jesus Christ.
Let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister in their time of need. We ask that You fill them with Your strength and courage to face the day ahead in a productive manner. Deliver them from any form of spiritual oppression that may be hindering their walk with You and their ability to function and work today. We know it is only by the name of Jesus that we can be saved and have an approach to your throne.
Rebuke the devil and his schemes, for it is written: "Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour" 1 Peter 5:8 WEB. But we are also reminded that: "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you" James 4:7 WEB.
Lord, strengthen their faith and help them to put on the whole armor of God each day, that they may stand firm against the wiles of the devil. Remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble Psalm 46:1 WEB.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
Remember, God is faithful, and He will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able. But with the temptation, He will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it 1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, and trust in His strength. Stand on the promises of God, and proclaim His truth over your life.
