We come before the Lord with you in this request, lifting up your need for restful sleep, spiritual protection, and strength to overcome the attacks of the enemy. The Word of God assures us that He neither slumbers nor sleeps, and He is our ever-present help in times of trouble. Psalm 121:3-4 declares, *"He will not allow your foot to be moved. He who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep."* You are not alone in this battle, for the Lord is your shield and defender.
The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). The spiritual warfare you are experiencing is real, but greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). You have authority in the name of Jesus to resist the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7). We stand with you in rebuking every evil gathering, every wicked assignment, and every night visitor sent to torment you. These attacks are not from the Lord, and we declare that they shall no longer prevail against you. The blood of Jesus covers you, and no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
We also pray for your spirit to be alert and sensitive to the Holy Spirit, even as your body rests. May the Lord grant you deep, unbroken sleep, free from fear, oppression, or manipulation. As Proverbs 3:24 says, *"When you lie down, you will not be afraid. Yes, you will lie down, and your sleep will be sweet."* The peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
You have shared that you are "not yourself," and we recognize that prolonged spiritual attacks can wear down even the strongest among us. But take heart, for the Lord is your strength and your song (Exodus 15:2). He will renew your mind and restore your joy. We encourage you to put on the full armor of God daily—truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God—so that you may stand firm against every scheme of the enemy (Ephesians 6:10-18). Do not neglect prayer, worship, and the reading of Scripture, for these are your weapons in this battle.
We also urge you to examine your life for any open doors that may give the enemy a foothold. Are there areas of unconfessed sin, unforgiveness, or disobedience to God’s Word? If so, repent and turn to the Lord, for He is faithful to forgive and cleanse you (1 John 1:9). Walk in holiness, for the enemy cannot abide where the Spirit of the Lord dwells in purity.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of Your child, who seeks Your protection, peace, and rest. Lord, You are the God of all comfort, and we ask that You wrap them in Your loving arms. Grant them sound sleep, free from fear, torment, or disturbance. Let every evil gathering, every wicked assignment, and every night visitor be scattered and rendered powerless by the blood of Jesus. We rebuke the enemy and command him to flee in the mighty name of Jesus, for he has no authority here.
Strengthen their spirit, Lord, that even as they sleep, their soul may be awake to Your presence. Guard their mind from manipulation and fill them with Your peace. Restore their joy, their strength, and their sense of self, for You have created them for victory, not defeat. Let them rise each morning refreshed, renewed, and ready to walk in the purpose You have for them.
Father, we ask that You expose and close every door that has given the enemy access. If there is any sin, any unforgiveness, or any area of disobedience, bring conviction and lead them to repentance. Cleanse them, Lord, and fill them anew with Your Holy Spirit.
We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You shall condemn. Let them walk in the authority of Jesus’ name, trampling upon serpents and scorpions, and overcoming all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19).
Thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness. Thank You for being their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. We trust You to bring them through this season victorious, for You have already won the battle. In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
