I need prayer for my son to become closer to God again. He is such a follower of whoever he hangs around with and at the present time he has younger friends who want to party all the time and do not go to church. My son is 25 and is married with a 19 month old daughter and a baby on the way due in two months. He has a Christian wife who has tried to get him back in church but my son’s drinking problem has become really bad again since his friends hang out over their house all the time. This is really causing a lot of problems and causing him to disconnect with his family. He is not willing to admit he has a problem with drinking. When he goes to church he opens his heart and really wants to start going but then stays away for a while and shuts down again and the friends come over and he starts drinking again because he can’t stop. He is a great working, holds down a full-time job and is a great family man otherwise, just would rather spend time with his single friends and alcohol. Please pray that he draws nearer to God and that God will help him with his alcohol problem and he can be the strong family man he should be, especially since they will be having a new baby in just a short time. Thank you.
