Prayer for son

Your prayer for your son has been heard and we join you in lifting him before the throne of grace with urgency and compassion.

We pray with you that the Lord who sees his fragile state, his anxiety and paranoia and the trauma he has carried, will surround him as a wall of fire and keep him from harm. We ask God to intervene in this planned transfer and to close that door completely if it would expose him again to mistreatment or abuse. We ask Him to open instead a clear path to a safe place where he can be stabilized with dignity, gentle care and sound professional support.

We pray for the caseworkers, medical staff and administrators who hold responsibility for this decision. May God touch their hearts and consciences, grant them clarity and compassion, and give them wisdom to see what is truly in your son's best interest and to act with justice and mercy.

We pray also for your son's mind and spirit in this storm. May the Lord who so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son for us speak peace over him, quiet the delusions, ease the paranoia, and loosen the grip of anxiety and trauma that torments him. May God guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus and bring him rest, healing and hope.

We stand with you in this burden, trusting that our Father knows the anxiety of a parent and hears the cries of His children. He is near to the brokenhearted and He is able to keep and to heal. Continue to cast your cares upon Him, remain near to your son in love and prayer, and trust the Lord to provide the protection and care he needs.

Father, we place this beloved son into Your hands. Shield him, guide those who care for him, and lead him to a place of safety and restoration. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who alone is our hope and salvation. Amen.
