We come before the Lord with hearts full of compassion for your struggle with pain and sleeplessness. The Word of God reminds us in Psalm 4:8, *"In peace I will both lie down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety."* We stand on this promise, believing that the Lord is your refuge and strength, a very present help in times of trouble (Psalm 46:1).
Father God, we lift up this dear one to You, asking for Your healing touch to ease their pain. You are the Great Physician, and we trust in Your power to restore and renew. We pray that You would calm their mind and body, allowing them to experience the restorative sleep that only You can provide. May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Lord, we also ask that You would draw near to them in this season of weariness. Remind them of Your unfailing love and the hope they have in You. Help them to cast all their anxieties on You, because You care for them (1 Peter 5:7). Strengthen their faith as they wait on You, knowing that those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint (Isaiah 40:31).
We rebuke any spirit of restlessness or fear that may be disrupting their sleep, and we command it to flee in the mighty name of Jesus. We declare that this child of God will lie down in peace and sleep, for You alone, Lord, make them dwell in safety.
In Jesus’ precious and powerful name, we pray. Amen.
