We come before the Lord with hearts full of compassion for your struggle with pain and sleeplessness, lifting you up in the precious name of Jesus Christ. The Word of God reminds us in Psalm 4:8, *"In peace I will both lie down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety."* We stand on this promise, believing that the Lord, who neither slumbers nor sleeps (Psalm 121:4), is your ever-present help in this time of need.
Father God, we ask You to touch this dear one with Your healing hand. Ease their pain, whether it be physical, emotional, or spiritual, and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Lord, we rebuke any spirit of restlessness or anxiety that seeks to steal their rest, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that their body, soul, and spirit will be refreshed and renewed as they lie down in Your presence.
We pray for deep, restorative sleep to wash over them, Lord. Let their mind be still, their body relaxed, and their spirit at peace, knowing that You are their refuge and strength (Psalm 46:1). If there are underlying issues—whether unconfessed sin, unresolved burdens, or hidden worries—we ask that You bring them to light so they may be surrendered to You. Your Word says in 1 John 1:9, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."* We pray for the courage to release anything that hinders their rest in You.
Lord, we also ask that You surround them with Your angels, as You promised in Psalm 91:11, *"For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways."* Let them feel Your nearness as they close their eyes, trusting in Your care. If there are medical or practical steps they need to take, give them wisdom and discernment to seek godly counsel and follow Your leading.
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your goodness and mercy, knowing that You work all things together for the good of those who love You (Romans 8:28). May this dear one wake up refreshed, strengthened, and filled with hope, ready to walk in the purpose You have for them. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
