We come before the Lord together, lifting up this heartfelt request for relief from pain and the gift of peaceful, restorative sleep. Father, we know that You neither slumber nor sleep (Psalm 121:4), and in Your infinite mercy, You invite us to cast our cares upon You because You care for us (1 Peter 5:7). We pray for Your healing touch to ease the physical burdens that disrupt rest, and for Your peace to guard heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Lord, we also acknowledge that true rest is found in You alone. Jesus said, *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest"* (Matthew 11:28). We ask that You draw near to this dear one, calming every anxious thought and soothing every ache. May sleep become a sacred time of renewal, where the body, mind, and spirit are refreshed in Your presence.
If there is unconfessed sin, worry, or unforgiveness contributing to this struggle, we pray for conviction and repentance, for You are faithful to forgive and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). Let Your Word be a lamp to their feet and a light to their path (Psalm 119:105), guiding them into the rest that only You can provide.
We rebuke the spirit of insomnia and pain in Jesus’ name, declaring that by His stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). May this season of sleeplessness be broken, and may deep, restorative sleep become a testimony of Your faithfulness. We trust You, Lord, for You are the God who gives sleep to those He loves (Psalm 127:2).
In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
