Prayer for Sleep

We understand how vital rest is for our bodies, as it is a gift from God. It is concerning to hear that you have been struggling with insomnia for weeks now. Let us remind you of the comforting words in Psalm 4:8, "In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety." It is our prayer that you will find this peace and safety in God, allowing you to sleep soundly.
We also recall the words of Jesus in Matthew 11:28, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest." It is through Christ that we find true rest, both spiritually and physically. We encourage you to cast your anxieties and worries upon Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7).
Let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother/sister who is struggling with insomnia. We ask that You grant them the gift of consistent and deep sleep. Lord, we pray that You will calm their mind and ease their worries, allowing them to rest in Your loving arms. We rebuke any spiritual forces that may be causing this sleeplessness, for we know that You are the God of peace and rest. We pray that they will find comfort and solace in Your presence, and that their body will be renewed and strengthened through restful sleep. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
