We are glad to join you in prayer for peaceful sleep and relief from pain. God's word reminds us that He cares for us and wants us to cast all our anxieties on Him, because He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7 WEB).
Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging the power in the name of Jesus. It is only by His name that we have access to God the Father, and it is by His stripes that we are healed. His Word assures us that He has given us His name to use in prayer and by His name we can be saved. His Word also says whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.
For peaceful sleep, we turn to Psalm 4:8 WEB, "I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep; for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety." God is the source of our peace and safety, and we can trust Him to grant us restful sleep.
For relief from pain, we look to Psalm 147:3, "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." and Psalm 34:19, "Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all." God is our healer, and we can trust Him to bring comfort and relief. But also, take note 2 Corinthians 12:7-10, "By reason of the exceeding greatness of the revelations, that I should not be exalted excessively, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, that I should not be exalted excessively. Concerning this thing, I begged the Lord three times that it might depart from me. He has said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me. Therefore I take pleasure in weaknesses, in injuries, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake. For when I am weak, then am I strong.".
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, seeking Your divine intervention. Grant our friend peaceful sleep and relief from pain. We trust in Your goodness and Your power to heal and restore. Help them to remain steadfast in faith, even if the pain continues, knowing that Your grace is sufficient. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Encourage yourself in the Lord.
