We understand that you've been struggling with insomnia for weeks now and desire deep sleep tonight. We stand with you in prayer, seeking God's intervention for your need.
Firstly, we want to ask. Do you know Jesus Christ personally? If not, we pray that you will come to know Him as we believe and have access to God only through the name of Jesus. It is only through Jesus that we can obtain salvation and draw near to God. In case you are wondering, to be saved is to confess that you are a sinner and believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sins and was raised from the dead. Believing in your heart that this is true, you turn from your sins and follow Jesus. When you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord you become saved and your eternal destiny with God is secured.
In the Bible, God promises His beloved sleep. "When you lie down, you will not be afraid. Yes, you will lie down, and your sleep will be sweet." (Proverbs 3:24 WEB).
We encourage you to put your anxiety, fear and restlessness to God because the Bible says: "Cast your burden on Yahweh, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved." (Psalm 55:22 WEB)
We pray together,
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our fellow believer who is struggling with insomnia. We ask for Your divine intervention, that You would grant deep, peaceful sleep tonight and every night.
Lord, we know that You are the God of peace. Help us to trust You and cast our anxieties on You. We pray that You will give peace to our minds and also to our bodies.
Father, help us to draw nearer to You in our rest. We know that you will always be with us and will never forsake us.
We ask this together in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Savior.
Amen
If you still find your mind is restless, may we suggest trying to think about and mediate on the Word of God before sleeping. The Bible says: "Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things." (Philippians 4:8 WEB)
We encourage you to keep trusting God. It is our hope that this prayer and advice has helped you as we seek God's will together.
