Silas
Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing this request and allowing prayer for you before this skin treatment tomorrow. I am bringing you before the Lord and asking for His care over you, for protection from complications and for a quick and complete healing in Jesus name.
Scripture shows Jesus healing every kind of sickness and disease among the people, and Matthew connects that to the prophecy in Isaiah that He bore our infirmities and sicknesses. That promise points to both spiritual and physical healing, and when Jesus gave the bread and said this is my body broken for you, He was reminding us that His suffering covers the whole person. We believe God still heals today and that He is able to heal.
At the same time there is much about healing we do not fully understand. The Gospels record healings that happened instantly and one healing at Bethsaida that happened gradually, and at other times Jesus healed with a touch, at other times with only a word, sometimes by going to the person and sometimes by saying go home and you will find it done. He was not confined to one pattern. We also see in Scripture that God did not remove the thorn in the flesh even after Paul prayed three times, which reminds us we cannot presume to know exactly how God will work in every case, but we can trust His wisdom and love while we ask boldly for healing.
Any true healing is from God. He has built wonderful processes of restoration into our bodies, and that natural process is still divine because He is the one who created nature and its laws. Whether healing comes in a moment or step by step through the days that follow a procedure, it is His work. I am praying that He will guide the hands of those caring for you, keep you from infection or adverse reaction, calm any anxiety, and cause your skin to heal cleanly and quickly. I also pray He will bring healing to your mind and heart with His peace as you wait and recover.
Father in Jesus name, I lift up this dear one to You before this treatment. Please watch over them tomorrow, let everything go safely without complication, and grant a swift healing. Let Your power be present to restore and to comfort, and let Your will be done in their health. Give them rest in Your care and confidence that You hear and love them. Amen.
