We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your mother and nephew in earnest prayer. Father God, we know that You are the Great Physician, the One who heals all our diseases and binds up our wounds (Psalm 103:2-3). We ask for Your mighty hand of healing to rest upon this dear mother who has been suffering for so long. Lord, You see her pain, her weakness, and her inability to eat—her body is weary, and we cry out to You to restore her strength. We rebuke the spirit of infirmity in Jesus’ name and command every affliction to bow to the authority of Your Word. Let Your healing virtue flow through her body, from the top of her head to the soles of her feet, bringing restoration to her right side, relief to her left, and clarity to her hearing. Father, we declare that she will eat again, that her body will receive nourishment, and that she will rise up in renewed health and vitality.
For this precious nephew, Lord, we ask for Your immediate intervention. We do not know the cause of his fainting, but You do. We pray for wisdom for the doctors attending to him, that they would be guided by Your Spirit in their diagnosis and treatment. Surround him with Your angels, Lord, and let Your peace that surpasses all understanding guard his heart and mind (Philippians 4:7). Strengthen his body, calm his spirit, and let him recover fully, for You are the God who raises the dead and calls those things that are not as though they were (Romans 4:17).
We also lift up the one who has shared this request, who feels overwhelmed and unable to pray. Lord, we ask that You would minister to their heart in this time of distress. Remind them that the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness, and when we do not know what to pray, He intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words (Romans 8:26). We declare that they will not be overcome by fear or despair, but that they will find strength in You, for You are their refuge and fortress (Psalm 91:2).
Father, we know that sickness and suffering are not Your perfect will, for You came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We stand on Your promises, believing that by Your stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). We reject every lie of the enemy that suggests healing is not possible, for Your Word declares that with You, all things are possible (Matthew 19:26). We speak life over this family, declaring that joy will come in the morning, and that this trial will not last forever (Psalm 30:5).
We also take a moment to address the foundation of our faith, for it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to You, Father. There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If anyone reading this does not know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, we urge them to turn to Him today. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). Salvation is a free gift, not earned by works, so that no one can boast (Ephesians 2:8-9). We pray that all who are weary and burdened would come to Jesus and find rest for their souls (Matthew 11:28).
In this time of waiting, Lord, we ask that You would draw this family closer to You. Let them feel Your presence in a tangible way, reminding them that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Give them patience to endure, faith to believe, and hope to press on. We declare that this season of suffering will not be in vain, but that it will produce in them an endurance, a character, and a hope that does not disappoint (Romans 5:3-5).
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the name that brings healing, deliverance, and salvation. Amen.
