We come before the Lord with you in this time of need, lifting up your heart’s cry for wisdom, understanding, and success in this examination. The Scriptures remind us in Proverbs 3:5-6, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* You have worked diligently, and now we ask God to honor your efforts, not for vain glory, but so that you may fulfill the responsibility He has placed before you—to provide for your family and walk in the purpose He has prepared for you.
Yet we must also remember that our trust is not in our own abilities or even in the outcome we desire, but in the Lord’s perfect will. James 4:13-15 warns us, *"Come now, you who say, 'Today or tomorrow let’s go into this city and spend a year there, trade, and make a profit,' whereas you don’t know what your life will be like tomorrow. For what is your life? For you are a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away. Instead, you ought to say, 'If the Lord wills, we will both live and do this or that.'"* So while we pray earnestly for your success, we surrender this request to the Father’s wisdom, knowing that His plans for you are good, even if the path looks different than we imagine.
We also notice that your prayer does not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have access to the Father. The Scriptures are clear: *"There is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5). It is only through faith in Him—His death for our sins and His resurrection—that we can approach God’s throne with confidence. If you have not yet placed your trust in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. *"If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is in His name that we boldly bring our petitions before God.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother/sister to You, asking for Your favor and wisdom to rest upon them as they prepare for this examination. You are the giver of all knowledge, and we ask that You bring to their remembrance all that they have studied, granting them clarity of mind, peace in their heart, and confidence in Your provision. Lord, You know the pressures they face—the weight of providing for their family and the fear of failure. We ask that You would calm their anxieties and remind them that their worth is not in their performance, but in their identity as Your beloved child.
Father, if it is Your will, we pray they would achieve the score they need—not just for their own sake, but so they may honor You in their labor and steward well the responsibilities You have entrusted to them. Yet we also pray for surrender, that they would trust You even if the outcome is not what they hope for. Open doors no one can shut, and close those that are not Your best for them. Give them the strength to walk in faith, knowing that You hold their future in Your hands.
We rebuke any spirit of fear or distraction that would seek to hinder them during this exam. By the authority of Jesus Christ, we declare that their mind will be sharp, their recall will be strong, and their heart will be at peace. May they walk into that testing room covered in the blood of Jesus, knowing that You go before them.
Finally, Lord, we pray that through this experience, they would draw closer to You. Whether in success or in waiting, may their faith be strengthened, and may they seek first Your Kingdom above all else. We ask all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Stand firm in your faith, knowing that God is with you. *"Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness"* (Isaiah 41:10). Study well, rest in His promises, and trust that He who began a good work in you will be faithful to complete it (Philippians 1:6). Let us know how the Lord moves in this situation—we are cheering you on in the faith!
