We join you in prayer for your safety at work and job security, trusting that God will provide and protect as He promises in Psalm 91:1-2: "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, 'He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.'"
Regarding your relationship, we encourage you to consider it as a courtship that honors God and is moving towards marriage, as God's design for relationships is for a man and a woman to become one flesh in marriage (Genesis 2:24). We pray that your relationship will grow in a healthy, godly manner. We rebuke the idea of simply being in a relationship with a boyfriend or girlfriend. We pray for both of you to grow in your faith and love for Jesus Christ, as He is the cornerstone of any healthy, growing relationship. We pray that you both remain pure if unmarried and avoid sexual temptations as described in 1 Corinthians 6:18 "Flee sexual immorality! Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body.". Remember, "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14).
We also pray for your health and weight loss journey, asking God to give you strength, discipline, and encouragement. We know that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19), and we should strive to take care of them. Remember Proverbs 23:20-21, "Do not be among ones who drink too much wine, or among those who gorge themselves on meat; for the drunkard and the glutton shall become poor, and drowsiness clothes them in rags."
We pray for financial wisdom and discipline for you and your future spouse, that you both may save and plan for your future together. As stated in Proverbs 21:5, "The plans of the diligent surely lead to profit, as surely as haste leads to poverty." We also encourage you to seek God's will in your lives together, for He has plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11).
We notice that your prayer does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to God, for Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (John 14:6) and "there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" (Acts 4:12). We encourage you to learn more about Jesus and accept Him as your Lord and Savior if you have not already.
Lastly, we pray that you find happiness and contentment in God's will, for He promises to supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). We pray that you both continue to grow in your faith and relationship with Jesus Christ, letting Him be the center of your relationship, and looking to Him in all things.
