We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this burden of financial distress and emotional turmoil. First and foremost, we must acknowledge that our help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth, and it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. There is no other name by which we may be saved, and it is by His blood that we are redeemed. "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5). If you have not yet placed your trust in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so, for He alone can bring true peace and salvation.
Father God, we lift up this situation to You, knowing that You see every injustice and hear every cry. We ask that You would move mightily on behalf of this dear one, softening the hearts of those at the company to act with integrity and fairness. Your Word tells us, "The king’s heart is in Yahweh’s hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires" (Proverbs 21:1). We pray that You would turn the hearts of those in authority to grant this refund, not because of any merit of our own, but because of Your mercy and justice. Lord, we know that You care about the details of our lives, and we trust You to provide for this need according to Your riches in glory.
We also rebuke the spirit of anxiety and fear that has taken hold in this situation. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that this restlessness and weeping will not have the final say. Instead, we claim the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, to guard this heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Father, grant wisdom and discernment in how to proceed with this dispute. Your Word says, "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him" (James 1:5). We ask for clear direction and favor in resolving this matter.
We also pray for the safety and protection of this family. Lord, we ask that You would surround them with Your angels, shielding them from any harm or retaliation that may come as a result of this dispute. "No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that accuses you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is of me," says Yahweh (Isaiah 54:17). We declare that no weapon formed against this family shall prosper, and we stand in agreement for their protection.
Father, we also lift up the confession of a "foolish mistake." We all fall short and make errors in judgment, but Your Word reminds us, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). We thank You for Your forgiveness and ask that You would restore what has been lost, not just financially, but emotionally and spiritually as well. Help this one to learn from this experience and to grow in wisdom and discernment for the future.
We also take hold of the promise to "spread goodness" upon receiving this refund. Lord, we pray that You would use this situation for Your glory. May this restoration be a testimony of Your faithfulness and provision. Let it be a seed that grows into a harvest of righteousness, where others see Your hand at work and are drawn to You. "Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven" (Matthew 5:16).
Finally, Father, we ask that You would meet every need according to Your glorious riches in Christ Jesus. Whether this refund comes through or You provide in another way, we trust that You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider. We declare that this financial burden will not define the future, but rather, it will be a stepping stone to greater trust in You. Strengthen this one with Your might and fill them with hope, knowing that You are working all things together for good (Romans 8:28).
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray and declare victory over this situation. Amen.
