We hear the heaviness in your heart and we join with you before the throne of grace in Jesus' name, for He is our only access to the Father and it is in His name that we are heard and saved. We thank you for asking for the presence of Jesus, for He has promised to never leave us nor forsake us and that He is with us always, even to the end of the age Matthew 28:20. When you feel you cannot even pray, remember the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words Romans 8:26.

We want to speak truth over the worthlessness you feel because you did not get the job and because you are not yet married. Your worth is not in employment or marital status, it is in being fearfully and wonderfully made Psalm 139:14 and created in Christ Jesus for good works Ephesians 2:10. You are chosen and precious in His sight 1 Peter 2:9, and your value does not rise and fall with a hiring decision. We also hear your desire for work, including chef jobs and provision to help the church, which is good. Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men Colossians 3:23, and we trust God who knows the plans He has for you, plans for peace and not for evil, to give you hope and a future Jeremiah 29:11. We pray God opens the right door in His timing and that you will find purposeful labor that provides for your needs and allows you to be generous.

We also hear your deep longing to feel sexually and physically whole, for hugs and kisses, for children, your own house, and for marriage, and your pain in feeling incomplete without these things. These desires for marriage and family are God-given and good, and we strongly affirm God's design for marriage as a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman Genesis 2:24, and we pray with you for a godly marriage if it is His will, not merely for companionship or affection but for a holy union that honors Him. We must lovingly correct and encourage you that sexual wholeness is found within that marriage covenant alone. The Scriptures teach that marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled, but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers Hebrews 13:4, and to flee sexual immorality, for he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body which is a temple of the Holy Spirit 1 Corinthians 6:18-20. Hugs, kisses, and sexual intimacy are to be reserved for your future spouse, and any courtship should be with a fellow believer with the goal of marriage 2 Corinthians 6:14, pursuing purity and self-control, for this is the will of God, your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality and know how to possess your own vessel in sanctification and honor 1 Thessalonians 4:3-4. We encourage you to seek wholeness first in Christ, who makes you complete Colossians 2:10, and to trust Him to fulfill the longing for children and a home in His perfect way and timing, rather than believing you are worthless without them.

You mentioned feeling under demonic attack and so much in a mess and in sin, wanting to be brought back to the straight and narrow. We take this seriously and we remind you that greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world 1 John 4:4. We are called to submit ourselves to God, resist the devil, and he will flee from you James 4:7, and to put on the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil Ephesians 6:11. The straight and narrow way is Jesus Himself, for narrow is the gate and restricted is the way that leads to life Matthew 7:14 and He said I am the way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to the Father except through me John 14:6. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness 1 John 1:9. Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me Psalm 51:10 is our cry with you.

We now pray together.

Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up our brother to You. We ask for Your healing hand upon his loved one facing surgery, that You would guide the surgeons and bring complete restoration, for You are near to the brokenhearted Psalm 34:18. Lord, restore to him a fervent prayer life and let him feel Your manifest presence daily. Provide for him the work You have prepared for him, whether in chef roles or other employment, so he may provide for himself, bless the church, and steward what You give him. Deliver him from the lies of worthlessness and let him know his identity is in Christ alone. Guard his heart and body, help him to walk in purity and to wait upon You for a godly wife, a marriage that honors You, and in Your timing a home and children if it be Your will. Protect him from every demonic attack, let no weapon formed against him prosper, and cleanse him from all sin as he confesses it, setting his feet again on Your narrow path and making him physically and spiritually whole. Comfort him concerning the one he has not heard from, and work a miracle according to Your perfect will. Let Your peace which surpasses all understanding guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:7. We ask all this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus, Amen.

We hear how much you are carrying in this one prayer - worry for ###'s surgery, the disappointment of not getting the job at ###, the search for chef work, the longing for your own house and for children, for hugs and closeness, and that heavy feeling of being worthless, lonely and stuck in sin wanting to get back on the straight and narrow.

Not getting a job or not being married does not make you worthless, even though we understand why it can feel that way when those hopes are so deep. Those are real disappointments and good longings, and God sees them, but they do not measure your value. You are valued by Him as you are.

When so many needs pile up at once it can help to not carry them alone. One steady step could be to choose one trusted person at your church, a pastor or an older brother in the faith, and share honestly about two things - the practical need for work and the spiritual need to walk closer with Jesus again. Ask if you could pray together regularly, even briefly, so you have someone walking with you in both the job search and the desire for a clean, steady path forward. That kind of fellowship often makes the presence of Jesus feel nearer day to day.

If you have ongoing physical concerns about feeling whole, we encourage you to see your doctor alongside prayer.

Father, we lift ### to You for surgery and ask for Your care over her. Draw our brother close to Jesus, let him know Your nearness, provide for his daily needs and open work that fits the gifts You have given him. Guard him from fear and spiritual attack, lift this weight of worthlessness, and gently lead him back to Your straight path in Your grace and wholeness. In Jesus' name, Amen.

We have heard the weight of your prayer and the many burdens you carry, for surgery, for work, for a home, for children, for comfort and wholeness, and for deliverance from sin and heaviness of heart, and we bring them before the Lord with you.

There is hope for those who feel they have fallen and are in a mess, for Peter was down but he was soon up again. His story is not only of his fall but of his restoration. The Lord Jesus said to him, I have prayed for you, and that prayer was effectual. Even as Peter denied his Lord, the Lord turned and looked upon him, and that look severed Peter from the crowd and brought him to go out and weep bitterly. It was not the crowing of the cock alone, nor the look alone, but the Lord's intercession working through those means that brought him to repentance. So it is with you. If Jesus prays for His people He will win His suit with God, and He will uplift those whom Satan has sifted.

You speak of feeling worthless because work has not come and because you are not married, and of feeling not whole in body. Know that your worth is not measured by a job at any place, nor by whether you are married, nor by physical wholeness, but by the price Christ paid upon the Cross. He saves to the uttermost, and His saving power was set forth even as He went to His cruel death. He is able to restore dead souls to spiritual life, to bring back those who have wandered into sin, and to make them better Christians afterwards, strengthening their brethren as Peter did when he was converted again.

We will pray for you.

We pray that the Lord Jesus will be near to you and to the one facing surgery, that He will grant skill to those who care for the body and grant peace and healing according to His mercy. We pray that you will know the presence of Jesus, not as a fleeting feeling but as the abiding presence of the One who intercedes for you even now.

We pray for your need for work, for the openings you have sought and for chefs work and any honest labour by which you may provide and also give to the church. May the Lord open the right door and help you to trust His provision and timing, and to use what He provides for His glory.

We pray for your sense of attack and oppression, that the Lord will guard you from the evil one, for greater is Christ than any power of darkness, and that you will walk in the light, confessing sin and forsaking it, putting on the whole armour of God.

We pray concerning your longing for affection, for children, for a home, and to feel whole. The Lord knows these desires. True wholeness is found first in being reconciled to God through Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name by which we are saved. And the gifts of marriage, of children, of a home, and of sexual union belong within the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman as God has ordained. We pray that God will make you whole in Him, will keep you in purity, will give you contentment in whatever state He places you, and if it be His will, will provide a godly marriage in His time where such affection and the blessing of children may be known in holiness. We do not ask God to bless what is outside His holy way, but we ask Him to lead you on the straight and narrow way and to grant you hugs and kisses of Christian fellowship and comfort that are pure, and ultimately the embrace of your heavenly Father.

We pray for her whom you have not heard from, that the Lord will watch over her and work His good purpose in her life, and that whatever relationship you have with her may be brought under His Lordship and into conformity with His word.

And we pray most of all for your restoration. That as Peter went out from the fire and wept, so you may turn from sin with godly sorrow, receive abundant assurance of forgiveness through Christ's blood, and be turned again to your old hope and life. May the Lord put you back on the straight and narrow, not by your own strength but by His grace, that you may afterwards strengthen others and tell them there is peace and rest with Him and that they should never go away from Him.

Father, look upon this weary one as Christ looked upon Peter. Hear the intercession of Jesus for him. Forgive sin, lift the sense of worthlessness, break the power of temptation, provide daily bread and daily work, heal the body, grant a quiet heart, and set his feet upon the rock. Restore to him the joy of salvation and lead him in paths of righteousness for Your name's sake. Amen.
