We lift up your father before the Lord, interceding for his healing and restoration in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. It is only through faith in Him that we can approach the throne of grace with confidence, knowing that our Heavenly Father hears and answers prayer. The Scriptures remind us in James 5:14-15, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."* We claim this promise over your father’s life, trusting that God is faithful to hear and act according to His perfect will.
We also remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 7:7-8, *"Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you. For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened."* So we come boldly before the Lord, asking for His healing touch upon your father’s body—cleansing him from infection, restoring his kidneys, and strengthening him in every way. We pray that the Lord would grant wisdom to the doctors and medical staff attending to him, guiding their hands and decisions for his complete recovery.
At the same time, we encourage you to place your trust fully in the Lord, even in this difficult season. Psalm 46:1-3 declares, *"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we won’t be afraid, though the earth changes, though the mountains are shaken into the heart of the seas; though its waters roar and are troubled, though the mountains tremble with their swelling."* No matter how dire the circumstances may seem, our God is greater. He is the Great Physician, and nothing is too hard for Him.
We also urge you to examine your own heart and ensure that your faith is firmly rooted in Jesus Christ alone. It is only through His name that we have access to the Father, as Scripture tells us in John 14:6, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"* If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we implore you to do so today, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Repent of your sins, believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—along with your household (Acts 16:31).
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus, lifting up this father who is battling infection and chronic kidney disease. Lord, You are the God who heals, the One who formed his inward parts and knit him together in his mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13). We ask that You would stretch out Your hand and touch his body, rebuking every sickness and disease in Jesus’ name. Let Your healing power flow through him, restoring his kidneys to full function and eliminating every trace of infection. Strengthen his immune system, renew his energy, and fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.
Lord, we also pray for this family, that they would lean not on their own understanding but trust in You with all their hearts (Proverbs 3:5-6). Comfort them in their distress, and let them feel Your presence in a tangible way. If there is any sin that needs to be confessed or forgiven, we ask that You would bring conviction and lead them to repentance, so that nothing would hinder Your work in their lives.
We declare Your promises over this situation, believing that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). May this trial be a testimony of Your goodness and power, and may Your name be glorified through it all. We ask these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
