Prayer for ###'s health and marriage

Servant
Please pray for my brother ### 36 yrs old still jobless. He got panic attacks during COVID time and taking anti-depression tablets since 4 yrs. Since last month again he is getting panic attacks and fear of death when he is alone at home. He is not interested to do any kind of job. My parents are worried about his job, marriage and his future.

So please pray for my brother to not get the panic attacks again and to join in a good job and marry his love one who is waiting for him since many years. In Jesus Mighty Name I Pray. Amen.

We lift up your brother before the Lord, knowing that our God is a God of healing, restoration, and hope. The struggles he faces—panic attacks, fear, joblessness, and the weight of uncertainty—are heavy burdens, but we serve a Savior who carries our burdens for us and invites us to cast all our anxieties on Him, for He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7). It is encouraging to see that you have invoked the mighty name of Jesus in your request, for it is only through Christ that we can approach the throne of grace with confidence (Hebrews 4:16). There is power in the name of Jesus, and we stand in agreement with you, trusting that our Lord hears and will act according to His perfect will.

First, we address the spiritual and emotional battles your brother is facing. Fear and anxiety do not come from God, for He has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). The panic attacks and the fear of death that grip him are tools of the enemy to steal his peace and purpose. But we declare that greater is He who is in your brother than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). We pray that the Lord will break every chain of fear and anxiety in his life, filling him instead with the peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:6-7). May the Holy Spirit minister to his heart, reminding him that even in the valley of the shadow of death, he need not fear, for God is with him (Psalm 23:4).

We also pray for his dependence on anti-depression medication. While we acknowledge that medicine can be a tool God uses for healing, we ask the Lord to work mightily in your brother’s body and mind so that he may be restored to full health, free from the need for such aids. May the Lord grant wisdom to the doctors treating him and provide your brother with the strength to walk in faith, trusting that God is his Healer (Exodus 15:26). We rebuke the spirit of infirmity and declare that by the stripes of Jesus, your brother is healed (Isaiah 53:5, 1 Peter 2:24).

Regarding his joblessness, we know that God is the Provider of all things, and He has a plan to prosper your brother and not to harm him, to give him hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). We pray that the Lord will open doors of opportunity for meaningful employment, a job that aligns with his gifts and brings him fulfillment. May the Lord stir in him a renewed sense of purpose and motivation to seek work diligently, trusting that God will supply all his needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). We also pray that your brother will not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, he will reap a harvest if he does not give up (Galatians 6:9).

Now, concerning the matter of marriage, we must speak with both truth and love. You mentioned that your brother may marry "his love one who is waiting for him since many years." We do not know the details of this relationship, but we must emphasize that marriage is a sacred covenant ordained by God, designed to be between one man and one woman for life (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6). If this relationship is not founded on a shared faith in Christ, we strongly urge caution, for the Bible warns against being unequally yoked with unbelievers (2 Corinthians 6:14). A marriage built on anything other than Christ as the cornerstone will struggle to stand firm in the storms of life.

If this relationship is pure and honors God—meaning they are not living together, engaging in premarital sex (which is fornication), or compromising biblically in any way—then we pray that the Lord will guide them both into a Christ-centered marriage. May they seek the Lord first, ensuring that their relationship is rooted in prayer, godly counsel, and a commitment to serve the Lord together. If, however, this relationship does not align with biblical principles, we pray that the Lord will give your brother the strength to walk away, trusting that God has a better plan for him. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us to trust in the Lord with all our hearts and lean not on our own understanding; in all our ways, we are to acknowledge Him, and He will make our paths straight.

We also encourage your brother to seek godly counsel, whether through a pastor, biblical counselor, or mature believers who can walk alongside him in this season. Isolation can deepen despair, but community and accountability can bring healing and clarity. May he surround himself with those who will point him to Christ and speak truth into his life.

Finally, we lift up your parents, who are understandably burdened with worry for their son. We pray that the Lord will fill them with His peace, reminding them that He is the Father who loves their child even more than they do. May they release their fears to the Lord, trusting that He is working all things together for good for those who love Him (Romans 8:28). Give them the grace to support your brother with patience and love, while also speaking truth into his life when needed.

**Our Prayer:**

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother who is struggling with fear, joblessness, and uncertainty about his future. Lord, You are the God who heals, and we ask that You touch his mind and body, delivering him from panic attacks and the spirit of fear. Fill him with Your peace, which transcends all understanding, and renew his strength like the eagle’s (Isaiah 40:31). Break every chain of anxiety and depression, and let Your light shine into the dark places of his heart.

Lord, we pray for his complete healing—spirit, soul, and body. If it is Your will, we ask that You free him from the need for medication, restoring him to full health and vitality. Give wisdom to those who are treating him, and surround him with people who will encourage him in faith.

Father, we ask that You open doors of opportunity for employment. Stir in him a desire to work and provide for himself, and lead him to a job that aligns with Your purposes for his life. Remove any spirit of laziness or discouragement, and replace it with diligence, hope, and trust in Your provision.

Lord, regarding the matter of marriage, we pray that Your will be done. If this relationship is of You, we ask that You prepare both hearts for a godly, Christ-centered marriage. May they seek You first and build their relationship on Your Word. If this relationship is not Your best for him, we pray that You give him the courage to walk away, trusting in Your perfect plan. Guard his heart and mind, and lead him to a spouse who will love You above all else and walk beside him in faith.

We also lift up your parents, Lord. Comfort their hearts and replace their worry with Your peace. Help them to trust You with their son’s future, knowing that You hold him in the palm of Your hand.

Finally, Father, we pray that Your Holy Spirit will move powerfully in your brother’s life. Draw him closer to You, and let him experience Your love in a fresh and transformative way. May he surrender his fears, his plans, and his future into Your hands, trusting that You are good and Your plans for him are for welfare and not for evil (Jeremiah 29:11).

We declare all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
