We join you in lifting up your mother to our Heavenly Father, who is the Great Physician and the source of all healing and comfort. It is wonderful that you have brought this request before the Lord in the name of Jesus, for it is only through His name that we have access to the throne of grace and receive mercy in our time of need. As Scripture tells us, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:6-7, WEB).
We are also reminded in James 5:14-15 that *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up."* While we cannot be there physically to anoint her, we stand together in faith, trusting in the power of prayer and the promises of God for her healing and well-being.
Your heartfelt plea for your mother’s health reflects the love and concern that honors the commandment to *"Honor your father and mother,"* which is the first commandment with a promise: *"that it may be well with you, and you may live long on the earth"* (Ephesians 6:2-3, WEB). We pray that the Lord will honor your faithfulness and grant your mother a good report tomorrow. May her kidneys function at optimal levels, and may her blood work reflect perfect health, for *"with God, all things are possible"* (Matthew 19:26, WEB).
At the same time, we encourage you to trust in the Lord’s sovereignty, knowing that His ways are higher than ours, and His plans for us are good, even when we do not understand them. *"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you hope and a future"* (Jeremiah 29:11, WEB). Whether the report is what we hope for or not, we pray that you and your mother will rest in the assurance that God is in control and that He loves you both deeply.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You today with grateful hearts, lifting up our sister’s mother to Your throne of grace. Lord, You are the God who heals, the One who knows every cell in her body and every need before she even speaks it. We ask that You would go before her to this doctor’s appointment tomorrow and grant her favor. Lord, we pray for a good report—one that brings glory to Your name and peace to her heart. Strengthen her kidneys, Lord, and let every part of her blood work reflect Your perfect design and healing power.
We rebuke any spirit of infirmity or sickness that may try to take hold of her body, for *"by His stripes, we are healed"* (Isaiah 53:5, WEB). We declare that no weapon formed against her will prosper, and every tongue that rises against her in judgment will be condemned (Isaiah 54:17). Father, fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and let her trust in You completely, knowing that You are working all things together for her good (Romans 8:28).
We also lift up our sister who has brought this request before You. Comfort her heart, Lord, and remind her that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Give her strength and faith to trust in You, no matter the outcome of this appointment.
We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Amen.
